Overview
The Isle of Lore
Floating Island
This small island is nestled above the clouds, sustained and hidden from the Surface World by magic. At the center of the island lies an ancient structure known as Dagda College of Magic. The college itself sprawls out over approximately one square mile and the grand Tree of Life, the tallest tree on the Isle of Lore, can be seen in every building in the college, intertwining its naturalistic roots and branches with stone architecture. The Isle boasts rich natural resources in its tiny glory.
The stream that flows intrinsically throughout the Isle crosses near the "front" of Dagda, offering a gentle and relaxing atmosphere. It is here that apprentices arrive at Dagda for the very first time.
The Isle of Lore is charmed with a spell of infinite space, meaning despite its small landmass, the actual land extends infinitely, allowing for many different creatures to take up homes and civilizations on the island. Traversing this spell, however, is impossible should you "wander" its lands, making it very dangerous for an Apprentice or creature to explore without an explicit destination in mind. Without a purposeful journey to a location on the Isle, the spell will cause the wanderer to wander its infinite space for eternity. With a location in mind, one can find their destination in mere hours of traveling by foot.
