The Living Sea (90% completely enclosed by land in northwest continent)

While searching for his patron city, Leviathan found a small island fishing village in the middle of the Living Sea. He eavesdropped on the island's inhabitants and discovered that they believe the sea around them is where life first came from.

On the day where the villagers celebrated a ritual worshipping the sea for providing them, Leviathan manifested in physical form before them. He announced himself as their god, ruling over not only the creatures in the Living Sea, but all life in every body of water across the entire world. To prove this, he raised a dome of water from the sea that covered the entire island. The walls were so thick that they blocked out all light from the full moon. The villagers, fearing for their lives, bowed to his divinity.

Leviathan declared that as sovereign of aquatic life, he would claim this village as his home. He desired their success, so he granted them bountiful harvests and protection from destructive weather. In return, he said that once at the start of every new century in the human calendar, a child would be born at exactly midnight. The villagers were to raise this child, be they boy or girl, in all manner of things to become a fitting vessel or Container for Leviathan. On the day of the child's 20th birthday, the Centennial Ritual shall begin where Leviathan descends from the Heavens, and the Container shall share their body with him. The Container will gain access to part of Leviathan's powers, and they shall embark on a journey to the tallest mountain on the continent, the Perfect Domain, where they shall complete the Centennial Ritual on the day of the Summer Solstice.
