Overview
camp night owl
camp, residential facility???
a camp for people to reconnect with life.
Culture
any languages the campers speak, it's a non-earth universe so it's written in english because that's what I speak but the characters probably don't.
12 campers at a time. sometimes they rotate though, i.e. some leave and are replaced while others stay.
"refresh, restart, renew"
I mean it's your basic laws?? like no murder and stuff.
Geography
the camp itself is in a forest that also contains a town (Wildesden.) the forest is deciduous and populated by many flora and fauna that are quite beautiful, so it has that appeal. some of the wildlife is either touched or affected by the Din, which makes it unique.
camp night owl has a garden, because the Din somewhat requires confidence/impatience to access it and gardening breeds that. also, the town can only use so much magic to keep the camp running and stocked, basically they need fresh foods. the garden itself is a peach orchard with several garden beds and the garage is stocked with seeds so the campers decide what to plant.
in Wildesden, which is Little Fox Woods.
temperate, for the most part cool and dry though it can get quite hot and thunder-prone in the summer.
History
Little Fox Woods is naturally quite a good spot for the Din, and early settlements quickly became full of practitioners of Din magic. however, its remote location (by design) means that their town and practice is dying out. so, as a town, they decided to bring in teenagers, especially those who may have reason to want to be away from home. the camp is stocked, cozy, and safe. it also teaches life skills and has a town nearby where people can move if they wish to stay in Wildesden.
1987
Wildesden is very focused on preservation and secrecy. they try to stay impartial and hidden away, so they've never really been involved in conflict between towns, practices, or anything bigger than drama within the townspeople.
