Overview
The Spread (Chamber of Divination)
In their Chamber of Divination, the Last Sovereign presides over the Spread. All they can do is fight against the March.
Emerging from shadows on the Spread, Steps on the March are illuminated by the Last Sovereign and his corps of mages and adepts.
This represents the physical universe--one that is so attuned to it that changing the Spread will change the universe.
The Apocalypse reaches in to interfere with the Last Sovereign's attempts. (// Celestial Orrery & invisible hand)
An actual Spread in the Chamber of Divination.
Notes
The Last Sovereign responds to the God-rot (as systemic force) reactively. God-rot will always adapt to whatever is thrown at it (e.g. river flowing around obstacles).
The Chamber of Divination, made from the remnants of the Tenth, was placed on leylines resonant with the Constellation of the Nine.
The Spread is used by denizens far and wide, but only the Spread within the Chamber of Divination holds greatest power.
Cards normally come in as Sanctified; only in the Chamber of Divination do they come in as Desecrated.
