Mainly inhabited by small wildlife now. Used to be the native home of the moondancers and eclipse moths + other large bug species.
History
In written history, the moondancers of Serenity Forest agreed to harbor merfolk insurrectionists who attempted to assassinated the merfolk royal family. The merfolk kingdom offered one human kingdom a rich sum in return for their military service, and more money for first pick at the spoils. In turn, the human army hired sunwalker mercenaries to sneak into the forest and burn it down as a distraction. The moondancers and insurrectionists were all dead by the end of the battle.
Since no one knows the full story, everyone believes the burning is separate from the Merfolk War, but in reality, it actually marked the start of it.
