Hjem

The Parsa, who call Hjem their home, are a large tribe of mostly Goliath scholars who study the relationships formed by the exchange of language. They live inside of a colossal dome-shaped temple where they record every event of note and store it to share with future generations. They are a warm and welcoming people, but rarely greet visitors due to Hjem's secluded locale and the threatening silhouettes the Parsa carry. The Parsa speak every known language (and some unknown ones) and treasure each of them evenly, therefore there is no common language spoken among them. There is an extremely rare phenomenon among the people of the Parsa where a child is born with inherent potent magical powers channeled through their voice. This child, when they reach the age of self-sufficiency, is set off on their own to make their own personal pilgrimage to anywhere they wish to share the teachings of the Parsa and the power of language.
