Overview
Del Darken Marung
(The Dark Day)
No longer controlled by the Alicorns after the fall of Portmanteau, the sun and moon are absent from the sky for one night and day.
Lost history
Content
The moon has set, but the sun has not yet risen. It is long past the time of first light. It has grown terribly cold.
Not many days ago was the day of the Red Eye; the moon turned black as the night sky, and eclipsed with the sun, which shone red as blood. Many are wondering if these are omens, a sign that we should not be here. But the decision was made to endure, whatever happens.
Old Ponish
Fearful
History
Truthiness
Most of the original text is completely accurate. However, some of the accuracy might have been lost during modern-day translation.
It is more believable by those who experienced the Half-Day, when the magic of the Crystal Tree was not enough to help protect Equestria, and the sun and moon were both present in the sky.
Origin
It was written on a stone tablet by an unknown member of the first village of Equestria. After excavations were made in Rambling Rockridge, traces of a lost village were found, including the tablet.
Found Period
The author has been lost to time
History
The events that transpired in the faraway city of Portmanteau.
The Crystal Keepers were convinced by Lorelei, a fellow Crystal Keeper, to leave their homeland and the life they were forced into. When they left, she assumed control over the sun and moon, a task meant to be shared by the keepers.
