Overview
Weaving
Non-ritualistic, and finite.
While all Warborn have access to the Warshade, very few have any level of awareness of the Weave. Practitioners are known as Weavers, and they manipulate the link between the symbiotic Warshade and their own souls, using its inherent power and weaving it into specific arrangements to achieve the results they seek. Weavings may affect the world immediately surrounding the Weaver, but must maintain a direct physical connection to the body and has no effect on living creatures.
Appearance
A powerful weaving shaped into a ward can absorb or disperse opposing magic, while a loose weaving with very little draw may be sufficient to help to muddle the Weaver's shape in darker lighting. Many more applications are possible, depending on the shape and the strength of the weave.
From faint shadows visible at the corners of the onlooker's vision all the way to distinct smoky tendrils, all extending from the Weaver. For the latter, almost visible threads of shadow extend outwards, not quite obscuring the vision. Just as with the Warshade, Weavers eyes glow, but only slightly as opposed to the strong glow of the Warshade.
Requirements
Weavings must maintain a physical connection to the Weaver in order to function, and may not affect living creatures. The potential strength of a weaving is dependant on the power of the Warshade, the level of control the Weaver is capable of exerting on it without going Feral, and the shape of the Weave itself.
Plucking at the mechanism of a soul is a delicate operation in the best of times. Doing so on a merged entity is even more so. When delving into a Weave, the Warshade is given a direct path to the mind directly proportional to the strength of the Weaver's touch. A constant fight for control is then happening while creating a Weave, and as such requires immense concentration. Interruption often results in a Weaver going Warblind and/or grievous damage to the soul. It is not rare for a Weaver to neuter burn their connection to the Warshade during such a misstep in order to avoid losing control, forever crippling their access to the Warshade.
None, though Weaverse may enhance their powers by using herbal mixtures and incense to improve focus and concentration.
An arduous training period is required for even the most basic weavings, and failures are more common than not. Rare are those Weavers of significant power.
