It's often known in the solar system that Fothlaiwei (Foth/Fo-Wi) is the now claimed territory of the Voidspawn where a majority of the species resides. The majority of the environment being swamps, bogs, and marshlands, the air is often moist and humid, where one would assume are oceans come to discover that they are in fact massive bodies of freshwater sources pocketed by even larger "lakebeds" of saltwater. The mainlands subsist of dense forests in the more wilder territories and between the larger landmarks a vast openness of plains and grasslands known as Hinterlands overtakes a majority of the main continents that connects one province to the next. Archipelagos of swampy islands intertwine with one another, and the entirety of the planet is teeming with a petri-dish of bacteria and dangerous diseases due to warmer temperatures. It’s because of this that most of the smaller bodies of water harbor danger and tend to be nothing more than stagnant ponds of standing water. Floods happen often which only accumulates to mudslides or sinkholes, most of the land (aside from the Hinterlands) is a thick, muddy consistency that often makes the construction of cities and homes structured to adapt to the muggy and wet environments.

Many a being would see the entirety of this planet as the thriving spot for a newfound plague, or even a dangerous bacterial infection to surely sprout up and wipe out the entirety of a species. In fact, that’s exactly what happened to the previous natives of the planet due to outside interaction causing some of the more common afflictions to mutate into a more hostile strain that their immune systems were unable to endure. They left behind their cities, their lands overrun with their crops of mushroom and rice-like grain, and in turn the Voidspawn made their home upon Fothiawei. They claimed the ruins and rebuilt them in their own design while flourishing in the hostile environments that they were all the more familiar with given their amphibious-like ancestry.
