Wolfariac

Description

One of the more well-known planets in the Rift. It has a planetary government and a very experienced planetary militia. World History

“This is the history: Names tossed this way are many. Plenty of the nasty ones are well-known, but the more common ones work just as well: Hermit Rock, the Free Crazies, the Savage Capitol. But they don’t get it. We were a mining planet on the edge of Union space around the time of the Age of Worms. We made contact with the bugs first. They don’t tell ya that, now do they? A council hopper landed up by Fang Observatory. One of the short grays took a walk in one of our guys’ head. Seeing their brother driven insane, our other boys fired on the vessel. We destroyed it easily. That just pissed off the Council and probably what started the war. They laid siege to us, but the Union showed up with a few cruisers. The Council retreated and the Union came down. They wanted the pieces of the craft we had shot. Excuse us, we did the work and you did none of it. So, feeling good after winning the first fight against an alien ever, we rebelled against the Colonial Union. Our one air production facility was bombed, our trade was cut off, and it became a long decade. The Wolfariac Militia beat ‘em back each time they landed. Eventually, some started defecting to our side! That’s how good we are. Anyways, they got beat back. We’ve struggled to provide enough oxygen for everyone, but we came up with a few ways. We organized under the Wolfariac Militia and continue to mine. Their packs patrol each Parish and we sell the metal from below. Whenever either of the empires approach us, we beat them back like the cowards they are. We don’t need kings or gods. We’re Wolfariac the Free World.”
