There is very little liquid water on the surface of Karapash, and very much if it is underground, where it is cool enough to condense.

The surface and interior of Karapash is rich in heavy metal elements, the mining of which makes for valuable exports as well as facilitates the manufacture of such sizable and durable spacecraft and equipment parts.

Karapash is a medium-large planet, about twice as large as Earth.

Due to its proximity to is home star, for the most part Karapash is extremely hot. The surface of the planet is covered extensively in a series of sandy deserts and sun-seared badlands. The native Karapashi (and many other life forms that inhabit it) have adapted quite well to the environment, despite the extremes.

The average temperature on Karapash is wildly uncomfortable for most other beings to endure for very long. Between the heat and the low humidity, anything that lives here has to be exceedingly hardy. Still, there are places that foster the conditions needed for some types of plant and animal life.

Weather on Karapash can be harsh and intense, albeit dry. Sandstorms are frequent hazards across its expansive deserts.
