Overview
Orrunnan
Fishfolk, Shallowborn
The Orrunnan originated as Bestials that made their homes near large lakes or oceans, adapting over time to become amphibious and secretive. While their shyness has been left in the history tales, the locations of their favored homes have not, and few other races can match the speed and strength of body needed to survive in the depths of Rakthorr's bodies of water.
Traits
-2 STR
Weakness (Fire): Orrunnan are an aquatic race that depends on water for life. They take an additional 50% damage from fire.
Shy: Orrunnan are not a social race among others outside their own kind. They take a -2 penalty on Diplomacy checks due to how secluded their people are, and due to their natural social awkwardness.
+2 DEX, +2 CON
[Monstrous Humanoid]
Darkvision 60ft
Eat, Breathe, Sleep
30ft land speed
30ft swim speed
Amphibious
Quick and Nimble: Orrunnan gain Improved Initiative and Weapon Finesse as bonus feats.
Aquatic Camoflage: Orrunnan gain a +4 racial bonus on Stealth checks any time they can hide in or near a body of water.
Advancement:
Level 5: Aquatic Adept - The Orrunnan gain the Scent ability when underwater, and double their swim speed to 60ft. They also gain +4 to their CMD against grapple checks.
Level 10: Song of the Sea - Orrunnan gain a +5 bonus on Perform (Sing) checks, and may use their entrancing voice to captivate others. Three times per day, they may begin their song, causing any creature within earshot to become Fascinated with the singer for as long as they continue to sing (no save). This ability does not function after combat has begun, but will affect even creatures that would otherwise be aggressive towards them. Their allies are unaffected by this ability, unless they choose to be. Their song does not, however, have lasting effects past the point that they cease to sing. This is a mind affecting sonic effect.
Level 15: Siren's Call - Orrunnan gain even greater power to mesmerize those who hear them, as their voices are empowered to their greatest. Three times per day, the Orrunnan may begin singing, forcing all creatures within earshot to make a Will saving throw (DC 10 + the Orrunnan's character level + the Orrunnan's CHA modifier). Those who fail the saving throw become enthralled with the singer, unable to look away and gaining the Dazed condition for as long as the song continues or until they take damage. Allies of the Orrunnan make their saving throw with a bonus equal to their character level.
Additionally, the Orrunnan gain a +6 racial bonus to all Diplomacy checks, and their bonus to Perform increases to +10.
