Galapians are large humanoids that outwardly resemble turtles and tortoises .Galapians are descended from turtle-like creatures that served metallic dragons millennia ago. After centuries of being exposed to the ancient powers of the dragons, they gained sentience and became much larger, leaving the lairs of their former masters with a pact that still holds today, that the Galapians would no longer be servile to the dragons, but they would come to the aid of any metallic dragon that invoked their pact. The secretive Galapians believe that a strong community is the best armour, better than any shell, and live in large communities amongst their own kind, rarely venturing away from these groups. Though sometimes, Lords may visit them for advice. The Dragonborn celebrate them as remnants of the Old Age that assisted their ancestors
