They have extremely sensitive senses, being able to practically feel the earth vibrating and can hear plants speak, in a way. Because of this, they are very good at nature magic. It is a common misconception that they dislike pretty things, which they love, it simply hurts their eyes because of their senses when there is too much elaborateness. This is why they often live in unpolished huts and wear plain clothing unless they are performing a ceremony. They are all very delicate looking but are often much stronger than people think. They are good at being stealthy. They like to play at fighting, women included. When they choose to become soldiers, they often end up becoming some of the most powerful soldiers. They are quite brilliant and enjoy logic puzzles, which makes them quite good at ruling countries. Elves have a long lifespan, often living to be at least two hundred. They usually don't have more than one child, and it's uncommon to see a household with siblings.

Often slender, they usually are lightly muscled, which helps them jump to higher heights than most people.

They normally range from 3-5 feet, but there have been instances where elves have been as tall as six feet.

They often have sharper features, with large eyes and pointed ears, and they usually have high pointed eyebrows. They have longer fingers than an average person, and their mouths rest in a position that makes it look a bit like they're laughing at you. They also have long hair, as the longer your hair is, the more respected you are in a community of warriors. Some of the greatest elf warriors had hundreds of feet of hair, which is why if you go to Grandevuchu you will see people with long braids. Their eyes often are brighter colors than a normal person.

Their clothing is very extravagant on special occasions, as well as their hairstyles, however, on a typical day, men can be seen wearing white tunics and pants in varying browns. Women can often be seen wearing similar clothing, dresses in whites (whether they wear dresses, skirts, or pants). They never wear shorts, and all clothing must reach the ankles, including dresses ad skirts.

They are brilliant minds, able to solve challenging riddles in seconds, they are powerful when they need to be, and they learn quickly. Because of their cleverness, they are usually very good at ruling kingdoms.

They can't help but fall for a good puzzle, even if they have to risks their lives to complete it. They can quickly become addicted to power, which can make having a monarch extremely difficult. They consider themselves 'high brow' far too often, which makes working with others very difficult. They are extreme fashion critics, and won't wear something if they don't like it, even going into fits to get what they want.

On a child's birthday, they often celebrate both the mother that gave birth to the child and the child itself, eating sweet pastries made from honey and roses, mixed into bread dough, called honey cakes. The mother and child dress up in their best clothing, usually vibrant yellows and blues, their flag colors, and the dance until midnight. No gifts are given, but if it's the child's adult birthday, they are given a mixture of cacao butter and lemon water, a bittersweet drink that's been kept in the water of a nearby river, slightly buried, for many centuries. Each village has a bottle of it, which must occasionally be remade if necessary.

They have a monarchy, with a king and queen, and that's that. There's advisors and such, but they don't help very much, because they've become addicted to power, unlike the king and queen, who are replaced every five years to prevent too much destruction happening in the kingdom.

Elves are normally categorized at tier four for their incredible intelligence but brought down by their power corruption and their desire to stay away from any other race. (Others call the Elves conceited for their apparent "hate" of any other races) Of course, in their own country, they are at tier six, the highest you can be without being royalty.

The Metamorphosis was the most significant event in the Elves' history, after a long period of the Elves not caring and running around having parties and drinking dozens of different concoctions that would supposedly give one magical power if you drink enough of it. They always wore expensive fabrics and outfits, destroying them after their first use almost every time. During this dark period, it was common to see an elf with five to eight children. Elves build huge houses, only for them to be torn down by the giant parties they hosted, or after they were burned down by neighboring countries, who, after realizing the dark state the country was in, attacked often and stole from the country, burning down not only houses, but also large swaths of lands, whether they held forest or crops, in an attempt to destroy the county and steal it, adding it to their own country. The Elves soon realized this and tried to get King Hanson and Queen Latreena (famously remembered for their terrible job at leading their country) to listen to them and stop throwing parties and building castles and instead help defend their country. Unfortunately, they were corrupt with power and continued what they were doing, until they were overthrown and killed by the people. The Metamorphosis commenced after this, anything with any elaborateness at all was either renamed, or destroyed, and new laws were put in place to guide what people wore, ate, and how they built their houses. (Sidenote: After this, the people realized their strong connection with nature and began to discover more about the powers they'd been searching for by drinking ridiculous concoctions.) The people didn't mind these strong rules after the destruction of their country, and even now the laws have hardly been altered at all.

Something interesting to note about the Elves is that while they used to name things elaborately and dress in fancy clothing that often showed much skin, throwing parties at every chance, they soon realized that they had destroyed their country, using all their money and goods, thus leading to them being raided often. After this, a serious change was made in government and the way they lived. This was called the Metamorphosis, a very simple name considering what names had previously sounded like.
