Mountain Nymphs are generally peaceful, which also tends to be their downfall. They will fight back when provoked far enough, but even then they have not trained to kill humans.
Culture
Music is a big part of their culture and is used in most ceremonious purposes. They use song and dance for expression, recreation, and healing, etc. Though it is not a modern dance and music seen in modern Onia civilization. They use instruments such as drums and flutes and other percussion instruments as well as vocals in an unusual off-key pattern without harmony. They use vocals to invoke spirits and to ask for things like rain or healing, or to heal the sick. Men typically dance in a circle while women dance in place. Mountain People also use sacred herbs found in the mountains and plains. Native Spirits emphasize harmony with nature and the spiritual world. They have a tradition of showing dances and music to celebrate success. They worship and honor the goddess Aiyana, goddess of nature and creation, and they do so with their way of living, it flows seamlessly into their everyday life as well as in ceremonies with dance and music. They celebrate death because they believe it is the start of life in the Spirit World. They celebrate death by giving the dead food, herbs, and other gifts to ensure a safe journey into the afterlife. They would tie prayer feathers around the deceased head, they dressed the dead in traditional clothing. Many tribes of Native Spirits celebrate on the first day of the first winter month, as they believe it is a day where deceased spirits come to visit relatives. Many also celebrate on the first day of the first month of spring to honor Aiyanna.
They praise the goddess Aiyana, goddess of creation and nature. They believe all people are inherently good, they believe in living in harmony with nature.
All tribes govern themselves through tribal laws, religious beliefs, and kinship systems.
Hunters, weavers, fishers, farmers who would harvest corn and beans, etc. There were people who made housing, and clothing. There were healers, some of the most respected people in tribes.
Native Spirits are separate from most of the land taken over by rulers. They use a trading system.
They appreciate any food.
History
Adeline Winterbourne began to raid, kill, and enslave Native's in Endora. Because they used a trading system, they could not flee, only hide. A majority of Native's have been enslaved, and those who haven't reside deep in mountain territory and in hiding.
Notes
Mountains in Endora are relatively big and lush, though some are barren. Mountain Natives reside in the plains in the mountains and forests in the untouched territory.
Mountain Native's are close with the Fae, as they share some of the same beliefs and worship the same goddess.
Mountain Natives reside in different tribes.
In modern real-time, Mountain Native's would be Native Americans.
