Description

Dwarves are a bold and hardy race known for their loyalty and skilled craftsmanship. They can live to over 400 years old and are considered young until they reach the age of 50. Dwarves only allow trusted individuals into their settlements.
There are three sub-races of dwarf; hill dwarves, mountain dwarves, and the Duergar.

They speak Dwarvish and Common.

Weaknesses

Dwarves may hold prejudices against goblins and orcs. Their decisivness and will may become stubbornness. They can be slow to forget perceived injustices and wrongs; a wrong done to one dwarf is a wrong done to the clan, which can lead to clan feuds. Their love for precious metals and fine jewlery can fester int avarice.

• "The difference between an acquentance and a friend is about a hundred years" is a common dwarf saying.
• "Skin made of iron, steel in our bones; to dig and dig makes us free" is a dwarf blessing often paraphrased when drinking, similar to 'cheers'.
