Overview
Halfling
Halflings are a cheerful and affable race, known for their friendliness and hard work. They can live for around 150 years and are considered mature when they reach the age of 20. Halflings tend to live in remote farm communities, but may live nomadic lives.
There are two sub-races of Halfling; lightfoot and stout.
Looks
Halflings favour simple, comfortable, practical clothes in bright colours. Halflings have no need for ostentatious clothes or jewellery.
Skintones range from tan to pale with a ruddy undertone.
• Halfling hair is usually sandy brown and wavy.
• Halflings often sport long sideburns but beards and moustaches are rare amongst them.
Around 40 and 45 pounds; though short they are stout.
Traits
They are often lawful good.
• Halflings like to live simple lives; they value the comforts of home. they are practical and care little for ostentation, treasure, or glory.
• They have a knack for finding simple, straightforward solutions to their problems.
• They are forthright and to-the-point.
• They are affable and cheerful, and value friendship and family greatly. They are often driven by community, friendship, wanderlust, and curiousity. They are loyal, and will be ferocious if their friends or family are threatened.
• They love to discover new things such as new foods, clothing, or people.
• They hate to see any living thing suffer. They do not tend to hold grudges or prejudices.
• They are generous, and will share what they have even in lean times.
• Whilst their forthrightness is a strength, they can have little patience for dithering and those who do so.

• They may travel as a way of life, finding work as they do
Halflings often live in remote agricultural communities tending large farms or groves. They rarely own more land beyond this and rarely build kingdoms. They do not answer to nobility; rather, they look to family elders to guide them.
Halfling families preserve and pass down their own traditions.
• They tend to give nicknames that may be passed on and supersede the Halflings real name.
