Overview
Changed Humans
After humanity left Earth to the aliens, not all went to space. Some were left behind…and those who survived the aliens, went on to become something more.
Looks
Prehensile tail, notably used to hang off of things.
Spindly, long toes and fingers - on each digit is a claw.
Thick hair growing on body. Does not cover the entire body (well, it does - just like humans, save for the palms of hands and soles of feet), growing thicker in certain areas, and thus more visible. Areas like the back, armpits, chest, cheekbones, head, legs, etc. Shaving is not important in their society - but an individual may trim their hair if needed.
AMAB individuals commonly have fur/hair framing their cheekbones, almost like a lion’s mane. AFAB individuals also grow this hair, albeit at a much slower rate and usually not to the extent that AMAB do.
Although AMAB are more likely to be taller, this is not a strict rule and their heights can vary.
Most individual have different hair colours, as well as styles. Hair is all natural colours.
Skin colour also has a variation, as well as minor features on the body. Basically, as they were once human - though they have greatly changed, they still have retained most human variation.
Clothing is actually not common within the Changed - for the most part, plenty of their hair/fur takes care of that requirement. HOWEVER, one may wear small accessories, and within recent Changed history, style has become a notable thing, more so for civilians (individuals who for the most part stay in their cities).
There is no stigma against going topless in their society, for all individuals. It’s a common sight.
Some do opt for legwear. While hunting, some may sport protective garments.
Clothing materials are handmade and natural, harvested from the beautiful yet deadly land of New Earth.
An active lifestyle, most individuals have a good amount of muscle, often sheltered by their hair or clothing (should they wear it).
Regular human skin colours. Variation on skin has factors, like climate and heritage. Like humans, they can be sunburnt (though in the New Earth, thanks to the colonization of the aliens, this has become less frequent). Sun exposure can also play a part on one’s appearance. However, the exposure may not be equal, thanks to the thick hair growing on their bodies.
