Each Cerebran will go through a hardship that will test them; Will they sacrifice their material possession or their friendships?

Temples are built on hills, which are a rare occurrence on the planets that the Cerebrans tend to colonize.

Two days are given up of the Cerebran calendar as they must make a pilgrimage to their nearby temple and receive reteaching of the holy stories from a powerful religious figure.

More strict Hakibori followers sacrifice their lives to understand the wisdom of the Gods and trying to become one with the gods. This requires, typically, a sacrifice of all the limbs.

Hakibori enforces that at the end of the journey of the Cerebran race will be a land full of serenity and creativity.

Cerebras who wish to become one witht he gods are to mediate for one day, straight. Then, they must cut off their own limbs and feast upon it. This symbolizes the Cerebran sacrificing themselves in order to go through a hardship similar to that of the Gods
