Un

Description

For long it had been unquestioned that Un, the lunar goddess and solar god was conjoined in one entity. They were equal good, equal bad with their own set of specialized areas. The lunar goddess controlling life and embracing those who passed away, and the solar god of war, law suffering, and death reap the rewards. Never had it been in question to think anything else. Though, the place of god and goddess was commonly confused as they were the same entity sharing the same name. And since the religion was never written down until today, in the year 1279 AU, it was acceptable to change the position and the goddess had been placed at the centre of the universe as the life-giving sun.

The communion of Un who’d only had spoken their word once, in the matter of ceasing the slave trade; was for the second time ready to open to public saying the words many wanted to hear, “The holy book of Un was to be written for those in the future to enjoy.”

The Godess and less important god was in general explained like this.

"Both deities are aspects of each other, androgynous and two-spirited, they are separated and still the same. The goddess created the earth, all life and everything on it. But concerned of this burden being too heavy she shared a polar power with the god who curled up beneath the earth crust and shook the world so hard a piece tore apart with him. The moon was created at the cost of life, and so the god became the only counterweight who sucked life from everything and created hostility and difference in the creation itself. But the goddess could not be angry at her second half, and every once a while we can see our godly mother being kissed as her husband crossed her face (explains eclipses). She could never be angry at the man who allowed her creation to be welcomed back into her loving bosom."

But as soon as the work begun the shamans was met with a worrying confusion. What entity did the god and goddess embody? And should they be separated in by different names? The shamans who still believed in Un wrote the mythology as it were, with some short logical arguments they made the Solar Godess and a Lunar God both named Un as they completed each other.
