Overview
Leto
A spin-off religion which is widely unpopular due to them not having a godess (actually cutting away the godess from their book, keeping some female elements for the deity).
It too replicated the ways of the Hebrew and Fayraban religions and temples.
History
Leto, the all-powerful solar deity, created within months and partially merged with a goddess. It was meant as a reform of the names from the old shamanistic religion of Un, where it competed with the conservatives who wished little more then to keep the old names but scribble down the whole religion on paper. Both sides wrote in the language read by all commoners, Tinkotan. Still, was this reformist view who praised one single deity to be accepted? They did partially pray to one of the old gods, but was it enough to call them heathens? Harsh words were thrown towards this steadily growing group known as Letoists, the conservative shamans tried to form a campaign against this reformist-separatist group known as “We want the old time religion!” which was so extensive that fliers were posted in all major cities. The inquisition was called in from their hunt to observe this dilemma which broke down the idea of them as harsh and decisive group of men, inquisitors had a hard time to determine if this was heathen or not, one god kind of remained…
“Leto, hear my call!” said the shaman, “We stand here before an unquestionable danger, where extinction might be the consequent of a bad answer. We pray to you our god and hope for your guidance in this matter, our lives and belief to be guided in the right direction and for your intervention to protect our lives from our brothers and sisters. Our promise to you except our faith is to construct mighty temples in your honour…” He turned towards his followers followers “Children, as the sun brings life to the plants so does the sun god Leto brighten your day, he leads us through the mist of uncertainty and all which is lost is revealed, our long bygone burdens become mere echoes of past. His gentle wind beacons through the leaves, all to remind us of his presence whenever he guides and watches over us.”
Letoism would never become a truly accepted form of religion, but neither would it be truly rejected by society. Those against could never unite or form a concise argument against this it seemed as they had trouble distinguishing Leto as a separate god from Un or Un. The grey-zone was to become accepted by the late confederacy and even raised above religious laws which outsiders had to abide by, with the only restriction being temple building which followed the same old law. This would cause them to try and compete alongside with the very popular Faryaban temples.
The Leto shamans had transformed into rectors and they along with their followers exclaimed “Praise the sun!” upon hearing the news whilst opening their arms towards the sun in heaven, with the more zealous even falling to their knees. The humble restrictions could not hinder a fifth of the total followers of Un from turning to Letoism.
Beliefs
There is one god, and he rules the heavens and earth.
Paradise is when plants fill the fields, mighty temples fill the streets, peace reigns and the people alone stand without government or social norms to opress them.
The preists of the religions could never marry and were quite often martyrs who drove the mass. They believed in carrying the weight of the people's pain.
Communions and ceremonies.
Temples in by the government selected cities and towns.
The god will provide the people with direction and thus lead them to a "righteous" path in which they alone became safe from others.
