Oguina, Rengus, and Vencantor
In the beginning of time, two spirits existed within the cosmos. They were two parts of all space and time: order and chaos. Between these spirits sat a mystical energy capable of changing the very fabric of reality. Rengus was the first spirit to use the energy. With it, he was able to create the planets and their moons, and spread them throughout the universe. He gave everything gravity and imbued the universe with physics and rules. The balance shifted too far and caused Oguina to react. Through the energy, she formed water on the planets, placed stars to provide entropy, and created the first building blocks of life. This went back and forth for centuries, each spirit pulling on the pendulum of order and chaos.
Once the balance was struck, the spirits stopped. The universe was perfect. Life was thriving, planets were orbiting, and both Oguina and Rengus were in sync with each other. With this occurring, the spirits then worked together to lock away the energy. They took millions of the planets they had created and locked some of the force inside each one, trapping it in a physical form so it couldn't seep back into the worlds.
Tikkilinamu
Millions of years later, on the planet Artress, an ancient sentient creature was digging deep into the world. Deeper than had ever been done before. The advent of the steam engine allowed these creatures to output more manpower than ever thought possible. The miners became the most famous and wealthy of these creatures, pulling multiple cartfuls of gems from the mines every time they emerged. One of these miners was named Tikkilinamu. Tikikilinamu
was the first to find the magem core and, mistaking it for any other kind of gem, drove his drill into it.
