History

Origin story

Lakmash is one of the oldest religions, dating back as far as writings go. It's described that the Earth and Sky combined to make man and woman. They emerged from Namek'na buds and together created civilization. Originally, only a few of the initial tribes believed, but the religion blew up after unification

Community, loyalty, creativity, altruism

Prophecies

It's prophesied that, when the end comes, everyone will be swallowed back up into buds by the earth, and go into hibernation until the next cycle of life.

Traditions

Initiation process

Children are initiated at the age of twelve. They're taught their religion's dance and are forced to do it for two days straight. The third day is the monthly gathering, and the first time they try the fruit. Then, they dance again. They're then given a pair of tattoos to represent the sky and the soil

Holidays

Malashana (sacrificial holiday), Kak'dala (year holiday), Lamek'na (gathering), Shanadalan (initiation), Shananat (founding day), Salatlan (Freedom day)

Rituals

Practices of everyday values, initiation processes. They also burn and bury food as offering, and then till the soil wherever they've buried it. They also make animal sacrifices to the ocean, in order to keep it away (as it doesn't come in a pair.) There's also a ritual performed on the last day of the year where they predict the luck of the next one. The youngest initiated from the year drink a potion made with sacred fruit until they're out. The last to wake up then casts dice. The higher the even number, the better. Odd numbers are, of course, terrible
