Overview
Hewome
"Ten Disciples"
Religion based on the Throjia monarchy with the monarch at the center as god`1
History
When the one true monarch unified the monarchies after a devastating famine, he managed to help those in need and create a utopia. However, his virtues were too much for his mortal body, so they split into many individual forms that would help his rule
Beliefs
Each state has a palace for their respective virtues, which they're never allowed to leave
King is god, you must follow your virtue
Pilgrimage must be made to patron virtues once a year where they give tribute and then kneel before the veiled avatar in prayer for a whole day
Everyone must make a pilgrimage to their patron Virtue's state and give tribute not just to them, but to the monarch as well. Additionally, they must try to embody their patron virtue as best as possible. When a virtue's avatar dies, their corpse reanimates for a short time where they write down multiple names of candidates who are eligible to replace them. These candidates are then forced to compete in a series of tasks that determine who's the most virtuous
There is a belief that those who manage to master one or more virtue (but no all; only the king can master them) can reach the divine hall where all the kings and past virtue incarnates go
Traditions
Some are initiated by their parents at birth; these babies are born with cheek marks denoting their patrons. Those initiated later are tattooed on their backs instead (note: most candidates come from the pool of people claimed from birth)
Each virtue has a holiday and a pilgrimage day.
