Description
Parts five and six take place after the fall of Nightmare Moon and are recorded here. Additionally, prologues and endings for the previous novels appear here as well.
Notes
Story timelines are titled respectively. Any events left blank do not visually or verbally take place within the TV show or novels.
[END] refers to the end of a specific timeline.
The beginning is mostly events from the TV show and some from the movie. There are little events from the novels sprinkled in, but the rest takes place later.
-P and -E refer to the prologues and endings of the previous novels. These usually feature Flurry Heart and take place in present time.

After entering the den of an Ursa Minor, young Tempest has her horn clawed off and just barely makes it out alive.
Dahliah leaves her home
Realizing that more young ponies are leaving the dwindling community to find their fortunes, Dahliah makes the decision to leave as well.
Tempest flees
Her neighbors are scared of her broken horn and unstable magic, so Tempest leaves her hometown and sets out on her own.
Celestia sends Twilight to Ponyville
Nightmare Moon returns, and is defeated by the Mane Six
Discord breaks free and is defeated
Queen Chrysalis infiltrates Canterlot
The Mane Six defeat Queen Chrysalis
Cadence is wed to Shining Armor
The Crystal Empire returns
King Sombra returns with the Empire, and tries to regain control.
King Sombra is defeated
Cadence and Spike return the Crystal Heart to its proper place, and the light and love of the Crystal Ponies drives out the dark king.
Tempest joins the Storm King's army
Trixie discovers the Alicorn Amulet

The Changelings replace key characters
The Mane Six, princesses, Shining Armor and Flurry Heart are all captured and replaced by Changelings.

The Pillars and Stygian are released from Limbo
Stygian is still a shadow pony.
The darkness is banished
The Mane Six and the Pillars of Old Equestria free Stygian from the shadow magic and trap it within Limbo once again.
Tempest Shadow attacks Equestria
Twilight befriends Tempest
The Storm King is defeated, and Tempest sets out to spread the news of the Storm King's defeat.
The School of Friendship is formed
Cozy Glow enrolls.
Magic begins to disappear
