Flurry Heart defines forgiveness and unconditional love. Despite other ponies' transgressions, she is able to forgive them and still trust them because of her own shortcomings. This can present itself as naivety, but when others realize just how much faith she puts into them, they resolve to be better for her sake.

Born to Princess Cadence and Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire, she grew up with lots of energy and curiosity. At times she could be quite a hooffull, but the Empire loved her.
Almost from the moment she came into Equestria, she began having strong magical surges. She could also fly and grew up to be quite adept at it. Her surges were violent and almost uncontrollable for many years, making the local foals afraid to be near her. The young filly tried her best to keep her powers under control, later discovering that reading books and focusing on the stories helped to quiet her magic.
During a trip to Canterlot to visit her aunt Twilight, Flurry expressed interest in visiting the library. However, it was decided that she must stay outside it until her surges were fully under control, much to her disappointment.
A) Dahliah, the assistant librarian at Canterlot Library, heard about her interest in books and arranged to bring her stories to read outside the library. This became a regular pastime for the two after a while, and Flurry looked forward to seeing the earth pony mare with every visit to Canterlot.
