Fantasy/Sci Fi

Made up of several countries, mostly with a tropical rainforest climate but with some colder regions in the north. Abarron also has a portal network that allows easy travel over long distances.

Magic in Abarron manifests in different ways. Many people who have powers opt to work for the Steregard which is a branch of the government that is made up of people with powers who use their powers to benefit their city or country. Some examples:

Transportation Sector- Ability to create, destroy, and maintain portals to allow for quick travel over long distances.

Investigative forces- Ability to read minds and sense and manipulate emotions during interrogation of criminals.
Some members of the investigative forces choose to focus on their emotion manipulation and work with people in distress (ie. in a hospital, or with the child protection branch) to help them stay calm.

Agriculture: Ability to manipulate plantlife, often to ensure a good harvest, but also to maintain public areas (ie. parks).

Animals/Wildlife: Ability to communicate with animals. Often they work with with training domestic animals or with injured wildlife.

Joining the Steregard is always optional but this means that the person will be living with very limited abilities. For example, someone with the ability to communicate with animals may only be able to communicate with one species.

However regardless of whether they are a member of the Steregard, they must be registered as a person with abilities.
