Certain people have certain superpowers for various reasons.

History is the same as our universe until the first appearance of the first super-powered individual (Not yet decided who)

Certain superpowers allow for certain laws of physics to be bent.

Magic from The Soul Realm allows certain people to be granted demonic/dark magic powers. Humans are unable to possess "angelic" power, as this type of magic is most powerful, and therefore corrupts the most.

Technology is much more advanced than our world. The technology to successfully create a Cyborg exists and was used with success. The cyborg character has a built in A.I within his mind as well that communicates with him through text and/or voice. He is also capable of scanning and recreating any type of weapon that drops out from under his wrists. A teenage genius was able to make successfully create himself a nanotech supersuit, while it has no A.I, his suit is microscopic enough to fit in his watch, and contains unlimited grappling hooks/restraints/ziplines. It also has built-in machine guns and missiles with limited ammo.
