A fantasy realm of many climes both mild and extreme, steeped in magic and full of memory and myths.

Aurelos itself was created primarily by four higher beings known as the Shining Oracles. They are effectively the world's most respected deities, though not its only ones. Each season is associated with one of the Oracles.

It is said the Oracles are stars which gained sentience and, desiring to bring more life to the world, created a realm and life of their own from pure mana energy. It is believed by most that the initial creation of the planet took but a moment, but that the Oracles have become the energy at the planet's heart, still leading it to grow and change over time.

Aurelos follows the physics of our world, but only on a loose basis. Since it's a fantasy world, and magic both exists and is heavily used, many things are possible there that are not here.

The system of magic is diverse and has many categories and threads, but the main two for those with training and education in it are referred to as Inner Magic and Outer Magic. Inner capitalizes upon the caster's personal mana reserves, while Outer draws from the immediate area. It is very rare for anyone to have an affinity for both. Most people have a mild affinity in just one, while some have moderate or greater, and therefore the potential to become a proper spellcaster.

There are the four cardinal elements- earth, air, water, and fire. Many subcategories will fit under one or two of these. For instance plant life is considered both earth and air. Some plants lean more in one direction or another.

This world is open for friends and others to create characters for, as it's mostly a sandbox, I guess? Obviously I'd want to be able to give permission first, but an opportunity to share this world with other people isn't likely one I'd pass up.
