In our world, in the many myths and legends of our religions today, and even on your bookshelf, there are many tales involving, from great sorcerers and wizards who use their magic to do good or evil, to magical artifacts that brings great powers to whoever uses it

Of course, in our world, magic doesnt exist, but what it did? What if, on a parellel earth on another universe, that has the same geography and anything, magic exist and that everyone can utilize it with practice? How much of our history would be similar? How much of it would be the same? What possibilities are made possible by this addition?

this world, by the name of Terra Fantastica, would answer these questions and more, as it explore the history and world of a universe ruled by magic

Hard fantasy

There are many answers to how the universe began, with many religious and non religious persceptives, however, the mainstream scientific idea of the origin of the universe is that it began with the big bang, where a small point made of compressed matter and magic explodes, introducing gravity, magic and other forces to the universe, creating many galaxies, solar systems and planets

Physics and magic often coexist together and some parts of physics can be manipulated through the use of magic

Magicology is a scientific study of magic and its effects on the world.

According to magicology, here are two types of magic, external magic and internal magic, external magic, external magic is a kind of magic that doesnt belong to any lifeforms, it is the kind of magic most common through universe, in contrast, internal magic is a kind of magic that belongs to a sepcific lifeform

Internal magic is divided further to life magic and true magic, life magic can be thought of as a "lifeforce" or "soul", something that is found on every person, animal and plant, it is what keeps the organism alive, though it cant be used to create spells, true magic is closer to what people think when they think of magic, it can be used to make spells, healings, curses and other things that use magic, however true magic on living beings cant be guaranteed, and therefore it is possible for people or animals to not have any true magic, the former of which may have to use magic ulitizing tools (like wands, palismans, magical artifacts, potions) to perform magic

While many types of magics can vary in abilities it can grant the user, they are ultimately united in 3 principles:

1. One can not create or destroy magic, magic can only be changed can flow from one vessel to the next (so one can not remove magic from the entire universe, not that anyone is powerful enough to do this)


2. Magic can not be used to create or destroy (so people that pratices animal or plant magic is limited to using existing animal or plant matter, not creating entire organism out of nowhere)


3. One can not use magic to remove one's true magic or to swap it with some else's true magic (so someone cant swap their magical powers with someone else's)

since humans discovered how to use magic, many kinds of msgic utilizing tools throughout history (like the wand), help humanity better express their magical potential

this universe is inspired by many hard fantasy series, like the lord of the rings and a song of ice and fire
