a world that has magic uses that follow a rule system. The magic can be learned, or it is natural for some. It has a royal government system for a long time, possibly until the future. It starts as a low technology society, though with electricity figured out after the magic group is accepted. There is a group of "High Mages" who are the magic users sanctioned by the king and queen. Everyone else with magic use is banned from the kingdom or even hunted. The magic wielders discovered a form of "electricity" (which might be derived from natural energy in the surrounding area, meaning it's more effective the closer to an energy source it is: plants, nature, storms, animals, people)

The world as they know it involves a magic system coming into being as people grew connected to the world around them. The first type of magic to develop is nature magic, and the rest came from that. The people divided into different kingdoms focusing on different things, centered around a type of magic though not exclusive to that magic type. The world is split into as many sectors as there are magic types. As the kingdoms formed, royal families came to power with magic uses and their ability to form a comfortable and happy kingdom. This soon changed to control as they held magic, and then it changed to having Mages who would wield magic for you, as using magic as a royal was seen as "getting your hands dirty". Of course this wasn't all kingdoms, just a few of them. Their main understanding is there was a deity that bestowed the magic upon them, though different kingdoms have different religions. One, the main one in the story, have the believe that the devil bestowed the power upon natural born magic users, and that magic that is learned is a power gifted from a loving god to those strong enough and respectful enough to learn it. Other kingdoms have their history clearly written, which shows a deity living among the humans in the beginning of the world, and after a while the humans treated them as a fellow equal, treating them well and showing love to one another in a way the deity loved, and they were gifted magic. It is difficult to figure out who is born with it because it is random, as they gifted two types of magic. Natural born, and learned. Natural born is to those who still worship the old ways, who respect the world and nature, and everyone is actually born with some level of magic that can either wither or grow with how they perceive the world around them. So if they see the world as a trading place, where you only get if you take, their magic withers. If you give to the world, and treat the earth and people around you kindly and with respect, your magic will blossom. The goddess is also careful to ensure magic is hidden in most as the world takes a turn for the worst. This goddess lives among the humans, as a shadow, a ghost, through the years and decades and millennia. As she sees things turning for the worst with her gift being used to hurt some, she hides it better in those that have no choice but to be in the area that is being hunted.

A goddess wanted to have her own world, her own place to rule and watch change and grow. The gods as a whole had no rank, and lived among one another as complete equals, not understanding the term "rank" or "status" other than in the term of hurting someone put you in a negative status. She worked with the god of creation to develop her own world, starting with small animals and starting from the beginning until she decided to work on her humans. She created a few in the image of her family, and then she created more to create a healthy society without inbreeding. In the beginning, she helped them as much as she felt was needed and good, not outright showing herself, but instead giving them suggestions and talking with a select few and fulfilling promises to ensure they saw her as good. Then her world took a mind of its own, allowing her to watch as her people created their own groups and watched as the world changed. Eventually, a group of her people deviated, pulling away and beginning to go down and dangerous path. This is when she came down to live among them, coming up to a town to ask for hospitality and getting taken in by a family who loved and doted on her just as much as any other member of the family. As the war inevitably broke out, she defended her kind and loving people before bestowing magic upon them with the rule it would only follow those good to the world around them. She taught her people to use the magic, leaving instructions and rules with the elders of the families, however she left creativity up to them for their magic. The people began using their magic and began to build cities, growing and developing their systems. The created kingdoms, the strongest and kindest leading them as the kingdoms developed. The families soon realized the power they had and grew tyrannical in some kingdoms, and their magic was slowly stripped away. This is when they claimed it was unbecoming to have magic and started monitoring people who naturally had magic. As people learned magic and forced it for those who lost their magic, they realized that learned magic was much weaker than natural magic, and it didn't follow the same rules. It was rigid, with words meaning certain things, and words plus movement required for all magic, with all incantations leading to the same result. This is when they decided that they needed to be rid of the natural magic families, and they cast them out. This is the full history of one kingdom, the one we follow.

Magic Types
- Nature Magic: This includes plants, earth, animals, anything in nature in flora and fauna. This has an overlap with energy as it can use solar, however the use differs. This taps into plants, promoting growth and influencing growing shapes and movement, and even increasing growth speed and crop yield. They can also communicate with animals or manipulate animals, this only working on those who don't have the intelligence and rationality to fight them on it, meaning humans are fair game if they can catch them off guard enough.
- Weather Magic: This includes storms, wind, rain, fog, any type of weather. This can be used for gentle sprinkles to horrific tornadoes. The person can both manipulate the weather around them, or create their own personal cloud and weather system following them. This leads to people being able to create tiny clouds that follow them for shade, clouds of fog for privacy or hiding, and rain to water their crops.
- Manipulation Magic: The ability to manipulate anything they come into contact with. It is easiest to manipulate themselves, so they are often called "Shifters", but they can manipulate anything natural. They have to have seen what they intend to manipulate, meaning that they will only ever be able to create based off of nature, people, or realism drawings. Realism artists are the most powerful of this magic type.
- Illusion Magic: They have the ability to create illusions, this includes sound, vision, scent, taste, and touch. It is really difficult to discern their illusions from reality, but if you have a good grip on reality there is always (almost) a discernible difference in reality and their magic.

Uses of Magic
- Song: song of word or of instrument can be used to influence and use magic. This doesn't require words, just emotions and intentions
- Spoken Word: This is spoken intentions, and can even just be a word the person sees as connected to their end goal. It doesn't have to be anything in particular.
- Dance/Movement: This is just movement or dance. This is favorable with longer distance magic users, as it helps them visualize their goal. This only requires intentions.
- Thought: This is the toughest form of magic to master and requires the most concentration to ensure that it won't fail or result in an ending that is not the goal. This is just thinking the intention, requiring no movement and no words or use of sound. This one is something that isn't attempted until you are extremely confident, and is often used in anger or true confidence, as it is very emotion driven.
- Combination: Combining any of the above magic uses can lead to either ease of use, or more powerful magic, or even more concentrated magic. This allows for more concentration in one thing, more focus, or ease of use or all three.
- Learned Magic: This is completely different from the above uses. This is only used with motion and spoken word. It's extremely rigid, and hard to control. One wrong accent can change the resulting magic and create catastrophe.

Same to those in our world, gravity, physics in general are the same. (I can't be bothered to make a new one, creating this magic system, religion, and government is PLENTY)

There is minimal technology, as it is magic based and difficult to produce so it is reserved for the royal families or extremely rich families.

This is a fun story that I just love honestly, and I'm excited to get the magic system and everything written out.
