History

History

  • Expansion of Existence begins, due to volatile reaction of cosmic elements.

  • Laws of Existence suddenly and inexplicably are formed; basis, building blocks for life's developments.

  • In order of creation, as a result of sudden expansion, Planes of Existence form, each beginning to generate life unique life as millions of year perpetually progress:
*Origination Plane, contains mortal life forms, flora and fauna, given the chance to grow through 'auras' manifested by Elemental Aspects.
*Elemental Plane, contains the Elemental Aspects, Ventokir, Acqualon, Fiammaros, Terrasine, Vitasal. Elemental Aspects have direct connections to all that their auras create/evolve.
*Fire is uncontrollable and consumes all things in its path.
*Water does not distinguish between friend or foe, life and death.
*Air is of the wind and inspires changing tides.
*Earth is patient, but wrathful when its cool is lost.
*Life is merciful, loving, tender, and caring. Life can bring desires to be, as life is not without desire.
*Spirit Plane, where spirits of deceased mortal life forms are drawn when their bodies wither and pass. Overseen by the Aberration, Y'yggloth, who felt sympathy for mortals that died and left behind grieving loved ones/friends. Plane's original purpose unknown.

  • Nether Gods within the realm beyond Existence, the Outer Darkness, send agents of their will, Aberrations, to investigate the newly-formed Existence, curious. These Aberrations are Y'yggloth, N'thotth, C'thagg, and Oth'ynus.

  • Three of the four Aberrations (Y'yggloth leaves the world entirely to drift off on its own) go on to 'plant' themselves within a forming world, digging in tendrils and establishing footholds. They seek familiarity in this queer, warm realm, in which nothing at all resembles the sights of the Outer Darkness.
-The sole world capable of spawning notable and 'advanced' life in Origination Plane is Argus. Their corruption spreads.

  • Aberrations begin to populate Argus with beings created in their image.

  • The first of these beings is a species brought into existence by N'thotth, the N'pha. Soon after, C'thagg creates the Ub'ic. Oth'ynus creates the Hla'is. Both C'thagg and Oth'ynus are inspired in their creations by those of N'thotth.

  • Aberrations grow and evolve alongside the native flora and fauna. The effects of the auras emitted by Elemental Aspects in Elemental Plane, however, cause interesting developments to manifest.

  • The planet is tempered by fire, cooled by waters, provided with wind and oxygenized air, hardened by earth, and gifted by life.

  • The Human race successfully evolves, Elemental Aspect of Life indirectly has much to do with the Human race's evolution. Evolving from a particular species of great ape, standing upright and covered in lesser, thinner amounts of hair. Human race devolves this hair, due to growing intelligence.

  • The Troll race successfully evolves, Elemental Aspect of Life indirectly has much to do with the Troll race's evolution. Troll race learns to walk upright.
*Wanderlust soon calls to these early races. Those that drift to the north go on to become Tundra Trolls. Those that drift to the northwest go on to become Dune Trolls. Those that drift to the south go on to become Woodland Trolls. Those that drift to the west go onto become Dark Trolls. By all three, separate empires are constructed; Kek'anam, Kek'karas, and Kek'fallah. Humans begin, eventually, to clash with Trolls of all kinds.

  • Morgu race successfully evolves from ancestor species closely related to great and terrible jungle-dwelling felines. Proto-Morgu come about as a result of these great cats' increasing intelligence and evolutionary bodily developments.

  • Effects of life's aura upon the world result in the 'creation' of the Dvergr race, as life, sentience and understanding is brought upon otherwise lifeless clumps of particularly durable metallic substance.
*They slumber deep beneath the world's crust for some time before they 'rise', following the completion of their evolutionary developments.
*Sleeping Dvergr 'cross paths' with a being who can't be seen and only heard. It identified itself as the Worldseed. It is bound to the world forever and always. The Worldseed lacks knowledge as to why or how it exists.
*Worldseed was formed, in fact, when Elemental Aspect of Life began affecting Argus.

  • Ogre race successfully evolves from enormous and highly unintelligent predecessor species. Ogres came about as a result of this species requiring intellect, as well as bodily strength in order to survive. "Smartest" among unintelligent Ogre predecessor species slaughtered and 'phased out' those that were simply too unintelligent to live.

  • Aberrations' creations have nearly colonized an entire section of the primordial supercontinent. The K'thoggku Empire rises. With a hierarchal system devised and utterly controlled by Aberrations, Empire functions more like a machine than a proper society, with Aberrations' creations as so many cogs. Two massive city-states are formed of matter both biological and tempered, forged, Vhn-Arajj and Vhn-Sanet.

  • Ogre settlement of Skymaul is formed. Hammerfall is formed at a later date, but shortly after Skymaul's formation, by those that drifted slightly to the east. Other Ogres remain nomadic.

  • Dvergr eventually come to rise from the crusts of the world, and find themselves faced with the structural might of the K'thoggku Empire. Born not of the Aberrations, Dvergr sense an acute sense of wrongness about the K'thoggku Empire's architectural feats.

  • the first great Human nation, Stronn, has construction completed.

  • Dvergr begin attempting to construct structures in a land of their own to inhabit. Not long into their quest, many groups begin to encounter hostile resistance from K'thoggku Empire forces. They, too, find that the Forest Trolls of Kek'karas are being menaced by the ever-marching legions of the K'thoggku Empire.
*Their bodies, hard as stone, give the Dvergr a fighting chance. Allying with the Forest Trolls of Kek'karas, they work to make their way to a peaceful resolution. The Dvergr and Forest Trolls alike attempt to dissuade the K'thoggku Empire forces from attacking them. Then, they move outward and onward. Then, they strike back, given no other option than to defend themselves. The Aberrations watch on, disregarding the falling soldiers of their own army, and, in amusement, observing the desperate struggles of the natural flora and fauna.

  • Dark Trolls digging for resources in which they could construct settlements are exposed to Celestium.
*Pickaxes strike ore, releasing internal chemical compounds in a gaseous form.
*Those Dark Trolls exposed have minds and bodies directly affected. They experience mutations. Bodies shrink, shoulders lose consider width, ears become elongated. Noses shrink, features become soft. They stand upright. Hair becomes less coarse, softer, more akin to silk.
*Celestium is, in fact, hardened liquid produced by the slumbering Worldseed.
*Exposure to Celestium causes mutation-like evolutionary developments to forcibly occur upon beings that interact with it.

  • The Dvergr are driven back into the depths by legions of K'thoggku Empire. Woodland Trolls fall back. Some remain with their Dvergr allies, delving deeper into the crusts of the world with them.
*Dvergr begin to master the art of metalworking, giving the species an edge over the K'thoggku Empire's forces, not much. Arms and protective gear provided to allied Woodland Trolls in exchange for continued aid.
*K'thoggku Empire forces are easily caught in choke points during various key battles. The lands beneath the world's crusts are a better battlefield than the surface for the Dvergr, more familiar.
*Allied Woodland Trolls are out of their element but learn to adapt, as they're taught by Dvergr allies.

  • Forces of the K'thoggku Empire rise near the location of the newly-evolved Aylenn Peoples, formerly Dark Trolls. *K'thoggku Empire attempting to expand its influence and conquer new swaths of land.
*Aylenn Peoples fight back against this encroaching threat.
*Heightened intelligence and bodily developments are a grand boon.

  • Elemental Aspect of Life discusses evolvement on Argus with other Aspects; others are indifferent to the idea. Terrasine can't be bothered to act. Over period of 60000 years, Aspect of Life comes to see living beings as 'children' due to direct connection. Considers Worldseed to be a direct child. Aspect of Life wagers their raw power would rip Origination Plane's worlds apart if full power was used. Elemental Plane already warped by the testing of their powers.
*Fiammaros simply seeks to cause destruction upon something deserving of its attention.
*Acqualon accepts Aspect of Life's proposals, wonders if the K'thoggku Empire should be allowed to continue, clearly the superior force.
*Ventokir seeks to impose change upon the populated planet of Argus. Agrees for this reason.
*Terrasine can't be bothered to act. Would rather observe.

  • Valzinothians evolve, greatest evolutionary developments of particular line of Great Apes. Though lacking full-body hair, greater muscle mass, Valzinothians possess heightened intelligence.
-Fiammaros, Acqualon, Ventokir, focus their power into a physical manifestation, aided by Vitasal. Aspect of Life can grant the end results of desires, as desires are a key factor to life, no matter how savage.

  • Four Elemental Aspects surge downward through the Planes of Existence, creating the Rift between Elemental and Origination Planes. Avatars crash through the atmosphere of Argus. Aberrations are shaken beneath the world's crusts, as are all things on planet. K'thoggku Empire's forces shudder and relent, returning to the sides of their masters.

  • Vitasal appears as a great bear, the size of a city. Fiammaros appears as a monstrous torrent of flame 'armored' with chunks of hardened volcanic rock; armoring inspired by that which was forged by Dvergr. Acqualon appears as a bestial vestige of tides. Ventokir appears as a great and terrible cyclone. Smaller cycles rise outward, forming elongated limbs.

  • At the coming of the unrecognized threats, Aberrations rise from the sections of the world's crust where they'd planted themselves.

  • War of the Primals begins.

  • Upon realizing that they are not the targets of their wrath, Dvergr, allied Woodland Trolls, Aylenn rise up and join the Elemental Avatars. K'thoggku Empire's forces in full retreat; mowed over by the Elemental Avatars, offense no longer a viable strategy. Dvergr provide armory and weaponry for Aylenn Peoples and Woodland Trolls, allied.

  • Ogres remain uninvolved in conflict.

  • Battles rage on between Aberrations, Elemental Avatars. Neither sides budge.

  • Through the Rift between Elemental and Origination Planes, stubborn and headstrong Terrasine arrives in full form; his coming and mere presence shatters Argus. World's crusts and tectonic plates shudder and part. He's grown tired of waiting and watching.

  • Terrasine wields the power of world's soils and crusts to forge great and terrible prison-states in which the Aberrations are entrapped. Vitasal, disapproving of Terrasine's full presence, takes advantage of the opportunity and uses desire-fulfilling aura power to entrap and severely weaken Aberrations.

  • Morgu begin expanding their empires across wide swaths of jungle, carving through natural developments and tearing natural resources from the world in order to fuel their machine of a society. Naturally strong, intelligent and capable of incredible feats of strength, the Morgu establish themselves as apex predators and masters of the jungles of Morguria.

  • Nether Gods, watching from Outer Darkness, are amused by this development. They take notes. Now have true goals and purposes aside from simply existing within Outer Darkness.

  • Existence and all things beyond Outer Darkness are the Nether Gods' playthings. Insects to observe.

  • The Shattering of Argus exposes massive veins of Celestium in numerous areas of the world. Species of large cats come across the exposed veins, and are 'mutated', their forms forcibly evolved. These large cats obtain enhanced intelligence, eventually evolve into Saberolg, learn to walk upright, utilize their upper limbs differently than lower limbs, utilize tails as means of balancing.

  • This, too, results in creation of numerous other forms of 'beast folk', such as Gnolls, Kobolds, Drakkum.

  • Human race, in Stronn, come to see Aspects as gods, and begin creating cults to honor them. They refer to the Elemental Aspects as:

  • Elemental Aspect of Life: Akione

  • Elemental Aspect of Fire: Oesis

  • Elemental Aspect of Air: Qibus

  • Elemental Aspect of Water: Fastus

  • Elemental Aspect of Earth: Nilotl

Through this, Church of the Holy Essence is formed; it is the greatest, but not the only Church which the Human Race collectively worship within.

  • Elemental Aspect of Life 'projects' its essence outward, and creates, in the center of Argus a massive pool of raw power. This is done so that the mortal life forms can utilize a fraction of the Aspect's power, in order to defend themselves from further threats.

  • Aspect of Life goes on to teach various mortal races how to draw from this power using their 'Auras'.

  • 'Auras' are connected directly to Aspect of Life, as mortal life forms are alive, therefore indirectly linked to Aspect's power.

  • Elemental Aspect of Life fearful of further intervention on worlds formed in Origination Plane.

Rules

Laws of Physics

The laws of physics in the universe, known as Existence by some and as the Dark Beyond by others, containing the world known as "Asgynoth" by its species intelligent enough to form within their minds many a question regarding the nature of their world, are identical to the laws of physics in our own universe... almost. Due to the presence of certain magical forces, there are some laws which can be bent, but not broken.

Magic System

There are various 'types' of magic which exist in Existence, though, there is one system in which they are bound.

Born of the aura of the, Aspect of Life, in the Elemental Plane, upon discovering that the various life forms dotting the worlds encapsulated within Existence's galaxies were growing intelligent, gaining wants, needs and desires of their own, that extended beyond the mere, instinctual desire to survive, the Aspect, Vitasal, gifted to Existence a shred of its own enormous and insurmountable power; the mortal races would be informed, through the use of various Avatars, that they, too could grant their own wishes, and fulfil their own desires. This would make the Aspect of Life the first (and only) Aspect to commune with the mortal life forms of the Origination Plane.

Magic exists solely because the Aspect of Life exists. The Laws of Existence dictate that, with life, comes desires. With desires, the ability to fulfil these desires must be present. All things, in a sense, can be almost mathematically understood. The Laws of Existence are a series of equations, performed by forces beyond mortal comprehension.

Technology

Technologies available to the various races of Asgynoth, in particular, vary greatly from race to race. Aylenn, for example, have mastered the element of magical manipulation of the world around them; their Arcanists are more than capable of constructing city-states that stand tall and proud, greater and grander than any other within the entire world, bound and supported by the Arcanists' collective will made manifest, otherwise known as 'mana'. The Dvergr, too, are not opposed to wielding magical power, though, they combine such magics with their own scientific prowess, creating something of a hybrid technological force of their own. This has resulted in both the two races, Aylenn and Dvergr to butt heads on more than one occasion.

Timeline of Events

Third Age

  • A total of three independent nation-states independent of Stronn are established. Hastened greatly by use of power Humans refer to as "Magic". This is the same power that is known by Aylenn as "Direct Arcane Magic", or, "Arcanism". "Magicians" are human equivalent of Aylenn Arcanists. These nation-states are:

  • Goldridge

  • Chillwind

  • Ironwall

  • These city-states are lorded over by nobles of the following houses:

    • Asbury

    • Connolly

    • Wynn

    • Third age 'begins' with Thandral, loyal servants, and Orcs laying siege to Yatamalas, in an event that would come to be known as the Culling of Yatamalas.

    • Orcs are effective killing machines, slaughter without remorse and without feeling, but oftentimes seem to turn on one another even in midst of battle.

    • Thandral and loyal servants take note, plan to adjust the Orcs Thandral created.

    • Yatamalas's High Queen is deposed, her Arcanists having some time ago travellled to Arcanist city-state. Thandral claims status as High King of Yatamalas, and continues slaughter of survivors who avoided initial culling efforts.

    • Few refugees among the former populace of Yatamalas flee from the fallen city to Deamalas, and to Curamar.

    • Thandral continues to raise new Orc troops, improving upon previous formulas and creating superior soldiers.

    • Chemical alterations are performed and Orcs become more docile, though capable of free thought, as minds are developmentally expanded. Older 'seasons' of Orcs are kept, though insane and incredibly volatile. Dubbed by Thandral as the Burning Blade Orcs.

    • Burning Blade Orcs are kept in cages, regularly and viciously beaten into shape by Thandral's loyalists, and by "season two" Orcs.

    • Developments continue on 'season two' Orcs, in Yatamalas. City remains captured and under Fallen Prince's control.

    • Season Two Orcs begin to be released into the wild, sent outward in order to take swathes of land for Thandral and his dark master. First wave of Season Two Orcs are sent forward, as more are forged in Yatamalas.

    • Launching failed assaults against Ogre Capital Cities of Skymaul and Zoria, Thandral, loyalists and Orcs redirect their efforts toward the Aylenn settlement of Deamalas, which falls soon enough to their onslaught. This event will come to be known as the Culling of Deamalas.

    • Deamalas is garrisoned by loyalist forces of Thandral, Burning Blade Orcs and Season Two Orcs begin to be forcibly bred there, as well as within the crumbling walls of Yatamalas.

    • Having failed to besiege Ogres of Skymaul, Thandral does not bother to assault Ogres of Hammerfall.

    • Viktor Asbury, Noble of House Asbury and King of Goldridge is assassinated by his Queen and wife. Thistle Asbury stages coup, and, with aid of her loyalists, proclaims herself Queen of Goldridge. This rattles relations between Goldridge, Chillwind, Ironwall, and Capital City, Stronn. Goldridge's future is uncertain with Thistle as Queen.

    • Having bolstered their might, Ogres of Skymaul, with forces detached from both Skymaul herself and from Zoria, begin scouting landscapes around the Fatherland, in search of aggressors.

    - Occasionally, Skymaul Ogres cross paths with Hammerfall Ogres, to no real

    Second Age

    • Nobles of various Houses within the higher classes of Stronn begin to squabble and bicker. Some don't wish to continue to associate with "rock people", or Dvergr, believe Dvergr are using their race to further their own agendas. Some nobles see the Dvergr as their greatest ally. Stronn's Royalty begin work to attempt to ease tensions among nobles of Houses.

    • Aylenn Exploration fleets cross paths with the Saberolg Tribes; announcing their peaceful intentions as best as they can. Relinquishing their weapons, members of these Exploration fleets begin utilizing Direct Arcane Magic to comprehend the words of the newfound natives.

    • Dvergr in Grandforge, seeking to expand the depths of their Underkingdom, begin to dig deeper.

    • This digging disturbs the Hla'is in the core of the world. Investigations of the disturbances are launch; but will take some time. Disturbances come from some distance away from seven Hla'is city-states.

    • City-state of Elisremalas is established. Many religiously devout non-Arcanism users are pleased to see Arcanists depart.

    • Though some remain in Edrenmalas and Curamar, most depart for Elisremalas.

    • The Governing Body of Elisremalas is not a High King or High Queen; it is the Council of Arcanism.

    • N'thotth, imprisoned, hatches an idea. It commands groups of its Vhnqir, who evolved from its original creations, N'pha, to capture and bring before its prison a singular Aylenn, Dvergr, Ogre, or Naga.

    • Task is completed; Aylenn Arcanist, among those exploring the nascent city-state of Elisremalas, captured by Vhnqir forces. In fact, this individual is Crown Princes of Edrenmalas.
-Named Thandral, Thandral is exposed to power of N'thotth.

    • Thandral receives visions and hears voices for ten days, and experiences terrifying, vivid nightmares for ten nights.

    • Once succesfully broken, N'thotth pours as much of its power as it can into its mind-broken prisoner (very little due to weakening/crippling spells spread about prison grounds by Aspect of Life).

    • Corrupted successfully, Thandral's poisoned body produces corrupted variant of Arcanism; as N'thotth had guessed.

    • Thandral is put through rigorous training exercises by Vhnqir. Poison, corruption settles in his mind. Mind 'stabilizes', though a new, darker personality is born. Personality desires only to serve N'thotth's whims.

    • No longer even aware he had a kingdom, family, friends; Thandral's power and control over corrupted Arcanism grows as he fills master's dark desires, which are shared by him; abuse of Arcanism mechanics to a truly 'evil' end occurs for first time.

    • 'Missing' status of Crown Prince of Edrenmalas wracks Elisremalas's higher-ups.

    • Regardless of concerns of Crown Princes, Elisremalas's Arcanism-devoted programs are well underway.

    • Academies have been fully established to aid Arcanists-in-training in mastery of Arcane.
*Arcane is regarded as direct manifestations of one's own desires. *Direct Arcane Magic is less difficult to master than Elemental Arcanism; the former is based on drawing upon mental energies alone. Latter is based upon 'creating' outside elements.

    • Academies have been fully established to aid Arcanists-in-training in mastery of elements; Fire, Water/Frost, Earth, Air.

    • Using access to dark magic, Thandral creates very simplistic life, little more than a single blob of dark, barely-solid matter. Thandral's experiments continue for several months, aided by N'thotth's Vhnqir, before he succeeds in evolving two instances of synthetic life.

    • His successes spur him to continue onward, continuously experimenting on his 'newborn' creations. Thandral succeeds later in causing 'newborn' creations to 'breed'.

    • Royals in Stronn are incapable of easing tensions between Houses; many Houses and their nobles break away from Stronn, going off with their wealth and their influence to form independent kingdoms.

    • Stronn's infrastructure begins to suffer as a result of this splitting of the nobles and their Houses. Not all depart from Stronn, however, and, therefore, the Capital City remains standing.

    • Dvergr in Grandforge encounter Hla'is for the first time.

    • Hla'is quickly put two and two together; launch immediate assault on Dvergr diggers.

    • The Underwar officially begins between Hla'is city-states and Grandforge.

    • Identifying the source of disturbances, Hla'is begin pouring forces upward, planning a full assault on Grandforge, to push out those they consider to be invaders.

    • Thandral begins tasking Vhnqir loyalists to breed new creations, which he refers to as "orcs".
*Orc, in Aylenni, could translate into the English words 'might', 'strong', or 'powerful'.

    • Thandral soon realizes that a new base of operations is required. Cave he was operating within is slowly running out of room to house equipment for experimentation/orcs themselves.

    • Orcs are savage and nearly uncontrollable, are kept in cages, guarded by Vhnqir. Bodies react to pain. Light torture is used to keep orcs in line by Thandral's Vhnqir loyalists.

    • Scorpyd, lead by a monstrous general-in-command named Neththalak and tactician Nefarlon both work in unison to push the Saberolg peoples violently toward the northern end of their continent.

    • Naththalak alone ruthlessly carves through the combined might of the Tribes and their newfound Aylenn allies.

    • Aylenn Arcanists standing by and aiding Tribes in their time of need immediately begins to increase ties between both races.

    • Aware of the Avatars present atop the Pinnacle of the Elements, and the limited presence of the incredibly skilled Aylenn Explorers, Nefarlon begins drafting plans, as its forces temporarily pull back, offering Saberolg Tribes a brief reprieve. This is a feign.

    • In unison with the "orcs" being forged by the Fallen Prince Thandral, Nefarlon passes order to Shadowmancer Skorum to create a means through which the dead can be raised.
*Nefarlon conjured this idea when it witnessed Saberolg performing strange rituals upon the cadavers of their fallen.

    • Shadowmancer Skorum begins utilizing corrupted Direct Arcane Magic in order to create this.

    • Saberolg begin offering Aylenn means through which they can learn Druidism, mostly as a means of offering thanks for their aid against C'thagg's Scorpyd.

    • For most part, Aylenn, already possessing their Arcanism, politely decline. Some, however, do take to acting as apprentices of Saberolg Elder Druids.

    • Dvergr successfully manage to push Hla'is back, and seal the great chasm which they'd created through drilling.

    • Grandforge guardsmen are posted around the filled chasm at all times.

    • Remaining Hla'is that invaded Grandforge slain, the misshapen head of their general-in-command severed and mounted at the entrance to the Underkingdom.

    • This unofficially brings an end to the Underwar. The Hla'is, however, are not quite finished with the invaders from above.

    • The city-states begin to plot, even as they retreat, bested by the military might of Greatforge.

    • Aylenn explorers meet face to face with scouts of the vicious Morgu Empire, cousins and neighbors to the druidic Saberolg; many are slaughtered almost instantaneously, though arcanists manage to fight back, some fleeing in order to speak of their ordeal.

    • Morgu do not attack Saberolg, consider them to be fellows and 'little brothers', but generally avoid the druidic and less aggressive Saberolg.

    • Soon after, a meeting is called between Aylenn and Morgu peoples, as High Kings of Edren'malas, Curamar, Arcane Council demand peaceful negotiations.

    • Immortal God-Emperor Miko-Shen of the Morgu Empire obliges, due to coming to see peaceful and positive relations between 'pointy-ears' and Saberolg, the Morgu race's 'little brothers'.

    • Diplomats meet with one another, and exchange words, arcanists ensure that language barriers are torn down. A temporary truce is formed between the two races, with the swaths of jungle landscape the Morgu Empire claims to be its own marked with boundaries. All-out conflict is averted.

    • aversion of this conflict marks the beginning of the third age.

    First Age

    • Shuddering and shattering of the world caught attention of Naga, who lived underwater. For the first time they would rise to the surface, and find land, strange, alien sights.

    • Oth'ynus's Hla'is race is disturbed by the shuddering and shattering of the world. They, however, remain deep within the world's frozen core. Construction of their equivalent to a Capital City, Hla'la is completed.

    • Oceanking Nalex begins expedition.

    • In depths of Vhn-Sanet, Vhn-Arajj, Vhnqir creations of the imprisoned Aberrations have bred and expanded themselves non-stop, mostly beneath the world

    • Council of Arcanism is formed in one of two Aylenn Capitals, Edrenmalas.

    • Council of Arcanism hosted by greatest, most powerful Arcanists in Edrenmalas Capital City. Designed to act as something of a governing board over use of Arcanism, and to create special laws regarding use of Arcanism, in order to prevent reckless Arcanism users from causing havoc.

    • Partly inspired by brigand group operations in Curamar. Brigand group known as "Deadlock". Deadlock used Arcanism-based spells to plunder and wrong others.
-Council of Arcanism would first hunt down and punish these "Deadlock" brigands in Curamar. Curamar's High King Ailliu welcomes Council's aid.

    • Deadlock is soon driven from Curamar by Council.

    • Edrenmalas and Curamar, two largest Aylenn Capital Cities master grasp over power given to them by Vitasal which they call "Arcanism". Aylenn are the first race to successfully do so.

    • Hla'is civilization, beneath the world's crusts and at the core of the world begins to splinter from the Capital City equivalent of Hla'la. Numerous, darkened city-states begin to be forged throughout the depths of the world.

    • Through the period of thousands of years, Aylenn civilizations come to the peak of their power. Some off-branching city-states begin to form, nobles seeking to extend their own influence.

    • Deamalas was first, established by former noble, King Narandys. Deadlock establishes a foothold here following city-state's construction.

    • Deadlock operates beneath city-state's sewers to avoid capture or rooting out.

    • Naga establish first land-based settlement on coastline, drive local flora and fauna out as an accidental byproduct.

    • Skymaul's expansion continues; Hammerfall lags behind.

    • Saberolg Clans establish religious movement revering planet's elemental forces, Druidism.

    • Sacrifices, songs, reverence are received by Elemental Aspects.

    • All save Life direct Avatars to interact with Saberolg.

    • Avatars are weak compared to previous incarnations utilized by Aspects 20000 years prior, linger in central area of all Saberolg Clans, "the Pinnacle of the Elements".

    • In total, seven Hla'is city-states are forged. Each larger than Hla'la. They are: Hla'ika, Hla'ang, Hla'trom, Hla'nd, Hla'ind, Hla'zu, and Hla'udar. Hla'is numbers are in the tens of thousands, nearing a hundred thousand, in total.

    • Dragons evolve into their final developmental form. Continued growth and perpetual climb atop food chain has paid off, made dragons apex predators. Come to dominate ecosystem of Deadmire, swampy landscape close in proximity to many Saberolg Clans.

    • Dvergr Underkingdom of Grandforge, following its establishment (with the aid of Geomancy, as Dvergr call what Aylenn call "Arcanism) begins creating ties to neighboring Underkingdom, Grimcore.

    • Dvergr, highly intelligent, opt to trade for differing resources between Underkingdoms, as opposed to warring over resources.

    • Dvergr ties with Forest Trolls begin to naturally deterioriate, last of the Trolls begin to depart from Underkingdom of Grimcore.

    • Exploration fleets from Edrenmalas, Curamar, begin to drift north and south, respectively.
*Aylenn Exploration fleets cross paths with Ogres of Skymaul, Hammerfall, peacefully explain their presence, begin establishing bonds through trade.

    • Singular Aberration is sent by Nether Gods to infest a new planet developing life.

    • Singular Aberration stronger than four previous, now-imprisoned Aberrations on Asgynoth.

    • Aberration comes to plant itself deep within developing world, spreds its corrupting Nether influence.

    • Seeking familiarity, Abberation wishes to make world more akin to Outer Darkness.

    • Crisis between Arcanism users and those that do not wield Arcanism (for a plethora of reasons, including reasons of religion) comes to a head; Council of Arcanism suggests an independent city-state where Arcanism users can study and walk among one another. Non-Arcanism users can feel as if they're no longer being exposed to forces which make them uncomfortable. This greatly eases tensions in both Edrenmalas and Curamar; all-out civil war is avoided thanks to Council's timely intervention.

    • From near Oldunan, C'thagg's creations begin to rise, and swarm outward, tormenting the Druidic Saberolg. C'thagg's Scorpyd provide a true and dangerous adversary for the developing Saberolg peoples.

    • Those that are unfortunate enough to strike out against the Morgu Empire are crushed beneath the Saberolg cousin race's brutal machine of a society. Continued attempts at aggression lead the massive war machine of the Morgu to push back against the Scorpyd legions.

    • Vengeful Vhnqir from Vhn-Sanet and Vhn-Arajj begin to rise in droves. Aylenni Exploration Fleets, Naga who have established land settlements in Southern Sea witness Vhnqir rushing over the planes and blotting out mountaintops wiht numbers. Dvergr prepare to dig themselves deep into Underkingdoms and fight back. Those Dvergr that don't retreat back into the depths of Grimcore and Grandforge, respectively, are pushed northwest, towards the shadows of the foot of the great grey and darkened mass of rock that will come to be known as Doomrock Mountain.

    • Vhnqir that push some Dvergr towards Doomrock Mountain attempt, fail to lay siege to the Dvergr, who begin to 'burrow' within the roots of the mountain. Vhnqir detachments do not relent.

    • First strike against Grandforge by Vhnqir begins War of the Swarm.
*Aylenn Exploration Fleets return word to High Queen Vaeria and High King Ailliu in Edrenmalas, Curamar, respectively. Aylenn consider Vhnqir to be enemies.
*Scientific and Geomantic developments by Dvergr give them upper hand against Vhnqir. Vhnqir have only numbers. Still, individual battles hard-fought and drawn-out.
*Detachments from Edrenmalas, Curamar sent to crush Vhnqir. Immediately begins bonding ties between Aylenn and Dvergr, latter party appreciative of backup.
*Skymaul and Hammerfall hold own against raging Vhnqir. Aided by some members of Edrenmalas, Curamar detachments. Further strengthens bond between Ogres, Aylenn.
*Naga, too, turn their weapons against Vhnqir; they come under attack and retaliate as per their right. Naga unofficially join War of the Swarm and unintentionally ally themselves with Aylenn, Dvergr, Ogres. Naga Hydromancers more than capable of bringing offensive edge to Vhnqir.
*Hydromancers developed through Naga Peoples' exposure to Aspect of Life's solidified power, in center of Asgynoth.

    • Dvergr approach Humans. Having interacted with Humans in prior instances, including trade and intelligence-based interactions, Humans, having fended off attacks by Vhnqir from their Capital of Stronn, agree to aid Dvergr in pushing back against Vhnqir aggression.

    • With the aid of Aspects atop Pinnacle of the Elements, Saberolg peoples begin to push Scorpyd back towards Oldunan, C'thagg's prison.

    • War of the Swarm slows development of Arcanism users' city-state, but construction continues.

    • Lasting almost 200 years, War of the Swarm ends. Vhnqir that didn't fall back were pushed upward and then pushed downward, by Greatforge, Grimcore, and Curamar, forces of Edrenmalas detachments. Vhnqir forces squashed between two military forces, decimated.

    • New Aberration watches on as created species unleash havoc upon newly-developing world it'd set itself within; world is known as Scestoros.

    • Creations are unlike those created by previous four Aberrations; they're larger, stronger, more akin to mortal races on Asgynoth. They will come to be known under the umbrella term, Grimm.
-Those that survive begin nursing wounds in underground cities beneath world's crusts. End of War of the Swarm begins Second Age.

    Rules

    Details about this universe's rules

Details about this universe's timeline of events
