Notes
The Trench 2 Class battleships are the forefront of AAF military spaceships. They are equipped with the brand new Continuous Pulse Drive placed deep inside which allows them to travel faster and further than any warship before. They are propelled by four normal liquid fuel rocket engines with G-canceling technology. They are outfitted with 16 x 4 500mm cannons placed along the hull in a dreadnaught style arraignment of 4 up, down, forward, and aft. During a 'perfect broadside' a trench can bring 12 of its turrets to bear on a target. Each gun has +90 to -30 in this position. The Trench 2 is also equipped with numerous Vertical Launch missile clusters to provide anti-ship and anti-munition support. Placed strategically along the ship are multiple 25mm CIWS with short and medium-range missile launchers, as well as numerous 250mm secondary and 150mm tertiary gun systems.
The Trench 2 follows the GRU standard for military spaceships, which the AAF inherited. Shape-wise appearing as on oblong octagon with a smooth horizontal rise of about 30 degrees, the Trench 2 has a defined top, bottom, left, right, forward, and back. It makes up for the uncertain orientation of 3d space combat by having weapons to engage targets at any orientation, while providing ergonomic crew stations and quarters for long term space operations. It's main propulsion system is at the rear of the ship, with auxiliary drives at all other angles to assist in maneuvering or providing g forces for crew comfort.
Idiots:
The spaceship appeared to be an oblong octagon in shape, wider than it is tall. It's rising angle was only 30 degrees, and its running 60, altogether defined top and bottom. A series of engines were placed at the assumed rear of the craft, with small auxiliary engines placed throughout the ship to assist in maneuvering or correcting orientation.
The ship was obviously armed, too. In addition, the orientation of the large gun turrets across the entire ship were only flipped on the wider horizontal plane, providing the ship with 360 degree turret coverage.
