Finn walked up the marble steps to the large main building, to a official looking woman talking to some parents.
(These are dorms that are assigned regardless of gender, so right now it’d probably be easier to have the two active people be roomed together(the age difference can be chalked up to uneven numbers))

Jayde took her bag from the trunk of the Uber and walked up the steps to the building. She saw a guy heading for the same direction she was and waved to him before going to the front office for her schedule.
Finn smiled. “Hi…. do you know where I could get my schuedule?”
“At the front office, dear.” The woman said. He smiled, said than you, and headed off to where he assumed the front office was.

Jayde saw a line of people lining up to receive their schedule's for the rest of the year. The only thing she hoped was that she would at least get a good sport on there like basketball or swimming. She waited and watched as people went into the door to get theirs and more people came into the office.
“Finn!” Finn’s grandfather came out of the front office. He was the vice principal, and Finn had been planning on avoiding him.
“Hey, Grandpa.”
“Here’s your schuedule, along with your dorm mate.”
Finn was much more interested in the dorm mate.

The line finally moved up and soon enough it was her turn to retrieve her schedule and dorm mate and number.
"Come in." A woman ushered holding a stack of papers. "What's your name and grade."
"Jayde Marks, 11th grade." She said moving up. The woman pushed her glasses up and looked through the documents before pulling out her file.
"Here is all your information. I'm sure you can see yourself out." She said with no hint of emotion whatsoever. Jayde rolled her eyes at the action and took her stuff before leaving. When she left she looked through the papers and saw what it said. Room 117, Finn Orman. She sighed when she saw it and hoped he wasn't some horny boy that would act cocky or take control of the room. She took her bags there and opened the door with the key card she was given.
Finn has already claimed a bed upstairs, and had put his stuff in the dresser next to it. Now he was sat reading a book, waiting for his dorm mate. He looked up when the door opened, smiling at the girl who walked in.

Jayde remembered that that was the same guy she saw earlier arriving to the building. She smiled back and put her bags next to the empty bed. She but her stuff in the closet and her shoes were under it. She then rolled her suitcase under the bed before taking out her phone and earbuds. She was about to put them in and jump on the bed but decided against it and wanted to talk to Finn instead. "Her, I would introduce myself but I think you already know my name."
“Jayde, right? I assume you probably know mine then, but I’m Finn Orman.”

"Yup, what grade are you in?" She asked, getting onto her bed and removing her shoes from off her feet.
“Tenth.” Finn replied. “You?”

"11th." She answered, not knowing what else to say. "Any hobbies?" She asked him, putting her phone on the bed.
“I like art.” Finn said, and as a point, pulled out his almost full sketchbook.

"Can I see?" She asked while moving towards his bed and looking over at the book.
Finn looked surprised, but held the sketchbook out to her.

Jayde flipped through the pages and nodded to herself in astonishment. "I'm not really an art person but what type of art do you do? These are good."
