It's a magic shoe right? It fit perfectly when it needed to. The fairygodmother could have made it grow and shrink when needed for a purpose. She was running away from the ball, prince chases, shoe falls off, there's a way to find her now. It also explains why it didn't fit anyone else. I mean, her feet weren't really that small.
