Movies We Hate But Everyone Else Loves

Sometimes I watch a movie that everyone else around me likes/ loves, except me. This isn't some blog where people can overexaggerate the flaws of a particular movie, or complain that a particular movie is 'overrated', it is merely for the sake of discussion. Movies, video games, books, etc. can also count.

@WriteOutofTime

frozen, bladerunner 2049, interstellar… probably more. Idk. As much as I like ranting about bad movies, it's more fun to rant about good ones

@AmmyPajammy

Harry Potter, Meet the Robinsons, some older classics from early Hollywood that i don't believe held up as well many will have you believe (although I feel the same way about classic literature, so maybe I'm just biased), La La Land, Avengers 2, and Lord of the Effing God-I-Hate-My-Dad-For-Making-Me-Waste-9-Hours-Of-My-Life Rings.

@WriteOutofTime

ooh yeah I agree with harry potter and avengers 2, and probably la la land (I didn't watch it but the leading actors are underwhelming imo).
(ilovelordoftheringsthough)

@AmmyPajammy

Do you? Unfortunate…. Lol, I'm kidding, but my dad loved it because he grew up with it, and I think I was too young to be exposed to it when I was because I just thought it was boring, bloated, and confusing. But also I hate high fantasy, so what can ya do?

@WriteOutofTime

Oh, yeah, if you hate high fantasy LOTR is not for you lol. I grew up with fantasy, starting with Chronicles of Narnia, so it's kinda always been my favorite.

@AmmyPajammy

It's funny because my mom was a high fantasy/sci-fi nerd, and my dad loves LOTR, and I actually really loved The Hobbit tv cartoon from the 70s, but other than that I just couldn't get into it.

@@CheezeJesus

I watched Moonlight. And though the plot was good, it was terribly drawn out and not played out well at all

I couldn't really enjoy Sing. It felt like several hours of "Hey kids! Look at all the animals!"

@Celestial-B

The Greatest showman, definitely, I only watched it for my babes Zendaya and Zac Efron. Frozen was okay at first, but now its really annoying. Footloose, never been a fan of those types of dancing movies. I didn't like Finding Dory that much. High school musical. I couldn't ever get into it, though I like the songs.

@Celestial-B Finding Dory was pretty forgettable anyways

@Celestial-B

Flushed away. If you don't know what it is please don't look it up. -_-

I hated that. and I never even saw it…

@Mindful_Bison

Noooooooooooooooo…
That movie made me so uncomfortable when I was a kid.

@Masterkey

I love LOTR, I was kinda fascinated by flushed away, and while meet the robinsons isn't a great movie, it makes me feel good so I like it anyhow.

I didn't like Big Hero 6 as much as I thought I would… same with The Greatest Showman.

Same with BH6. So many missed opportunities.
It gave me inspiration to not do that!

@Masterkey

Haha I get inspiration from stuff I didn't like, too

@RedTheLoveless

A moment of silence for the depressed anime/cartoon nerds like myself:

Live Action Avatar the Last Airbender
Live Action Death Note
LIVE ACTION Attack on Titan
THE RE-INVENTED TEEN TITANS

@WriteOutofTime

AGREE WITH ALL OF THOSE

@RedEeveestar Death Note live action is something I will never like, even if I've never watched it. When I watched the anime on Netflix, my parents took interest and soon enough the entire house had gathered into the living room to watch Death Note. I will never taint such a memory with that live-action garbage!

@Lord_Dunconius

@writelikeyourerunningoutoftime I'm pretty sure everyone hates the Percy Jackson movies.

But I personally dislike Titanic. It's too cliche and predictable for me. I just couldn't find enough character development to create a real connection with any of the characters.

When you say moment of silence, Imma assume you mean we never, EVER talk about those remakes again, in the vain hope that they'll disappear from this world

Indeed I did. I hope one day I can collect all copies and records of them and let them BURN
