Percy Jackson isn't that great ya'll

I'm not against the series (I own it)
It's just that it's not as great as everyone says it is

I really only like the first series. The characters were great in HOO, but PJO wins hands down.

I've never read it mainly because I don't like the hype around it.

Plus, Grover was next to nonexistent in HOO.

Yeah, I didn't care for HOO at all. (It's been about five years since I've read any of Rick Riordans books…)

I don't care too much for HoO, but the original first series was gold.

Yeah, I appreciated the first series because I related to it.

Yeah, plus I don't know, the second seemed a bit forced?

Yeah, characters were just thrown at us like crazy XD

(And it wasn't too thought out. Percy seemed really ooc in certain areas and then there was all that happened in Tartarus that wasn't spoken of again.)

(A lot of things were just thrown under the rug!)

(I don't see how Annabeth just decided to leave CHB, like that was her home since she was a kid! In BoO Percy's treated like a joke and then in SoN the Achilles curse is lifted… AKA that really character-changing moment for him…. Just thrown away because he couldn't be stronger than the others.)

I remember when I decided to read PJO for the first time, I accidentally picked up The Lost Hero, and I was like, '…This isn't Percy…'

Lol yes when I first tried out Percy Jackson I picked The Lost Hero and I couldn't even finish the first chapter. I realized my mistake and got The Lightning Thief… Much better.

Now that I think about it, I'd would've rather had a Hunters of Artemis series following Thalia instead of HOO.

Yes! The Hunters are AWESOME, but while they do get mentioned a lot, they aren't explored too much.

And Thalia was awesome. Hands down probably my favorite character next to Percy.
