what is the weirdest name you've given to a character?

@cami

weirdest, strangest, most unusual…

while i'm working on my trilogy, i have another story lined up, and i recently decided that it will have a female character named "spoke." i don't know what she'll do yet or how she is relevant to the story, but i'm thinking she likes to do graffiti art.

so share your weird names!

@Paperok

Radish.

@FantaPop

Well, Quickshot could be considered rather weird, I think? Though Menny Gitwidget Pilwicken could probably be considered a runner up lmao.

Jassica Em’barh, but to be fair, it’s a Star Wars fanfic

@ruthw

Malys Starblyd, if I'm being honest. Don't ask why.

@Ludan Beta Tester

Does it count as a weird character name when the people within the 'verse consider it normal? People in Reefland name their children for traits that they hope they will develop as they grow. One character born and raised in a small village in Reefland was named Reverent by a mother hoping for a daughter who would develop a deep respect for their clan's traditions as she grew.

Emendrake, Sevael, Semalf. And yes, the last two are "flames" and "leaves" spelled backwards. I was not the best at naming things as a kid.

@Aliemma

Thr'ina Mijt. It's a normal name for her species, though I did fall into my habit of ending my names in -a, which I later determined would not be the most common thing. Too late to change it since it's a roleplay, but yeah.

@NoValdezinator

Seja Audax, she is a bitter character and I want to add at least a bit hate to her name

@WriteOutofTime

well, none are like that weird, but the weirdest thing that happened was when I named my protagonists princess star and marco like three years before star vs the forces of evil came out. like, those aren't common names! what are the odds that after I decide to name my protagonists star and marco, a show comes out about two characters named star and marco??

@LilNerdyGingerKitsune

I have a lot of weird names but I think the weirdest one I've decided on is Sprite, not the drink but the type of fairy. Her real name is Sarah but she has everyone call her Sprite cause she's weird and likes fairies. Other names that compete for the title are Iksu, Ziff, Sinopa, Siduri and Inanna.

@JonaGaming

I don't know if this is considered weird, but mine is Oreo. He is a dalmatian/human with vitiligo and he actually really likes oreo cookies.

Another one is Whiskers, a mouse/dark elf who likes to steal.

@looking4therightwords

Lots of websites I was looking at for futuristic names had VERY weird names, but I think the weirdest was either Cormac Amulet or Sno Fitriei.

look for this website

it helped me because it even had ethnicities!

Gisela

Arryh Sol. She's an alien. People call her Arie.

My weirdest one so far is either Lilicta or Kerca

@SavvyWrites

Castor is my weirdest, although Zephirah comes close

@TaeganCaeri

Weasel Trash. I'm not kidding.

@cerebrxlthundxr

Ethaniel. Not that weird, but it's fairly obvious who the character was based on. Ha.

@garbage-owo

Myth. It makes more sense in context.

@tyller_) (_woode

It's not that weird but Domino.

Haily Leonard

Nixeldenarask, but it's a fantasy book. Also Ahjzhin, again it's fantasy, but it's the weirdest out of fantasy.

@hyliamalice

Apple.

@Mindful_Bison

I think all of my characters have "odd" names. Either Heen Fang (a dragonborn airship fighter), or Ventis (an Air Elemental) have the strangest names of my living characters.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Amasthiel, I think

Aud and Ottkatla, but it's a Norse fantasy though. Tache, Keir and Airhead are strong contenders, I think.

@wake-read-eat-sleep

Triquallantinsis Omberallenmeseft. Human/robot hybrid.

@Mindful_Bison
