Writing Competition!

Hey, everyone! I thought writing contests were a lot of fun, and I've always wanted to judge one. I'm in one right now as well, but I'd like to host this one.
Here are the rules:

• Write a story 3,000 words or less
• It can be fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery, horror, and/or comedy; basically, choose any of these you like
• You must choose one (or more) of the following lines to use in your story; this is mostly just to ensure that people aren't reusing entries; you can base your story around the line, if you want:
  "The other side's a lot brighter than this. I know you can make it through."
  "Trust me, things are about to get crazy."
  "What in the world is that thing?"
  "I thought you were the most beautiful person I'd ever seen."
  "You were supposed to be the villain. What changed?"
  "I never wanted to be one of the people that hurt you."
  "I've never seen someone like you before. Where are you from?"
  "Wait, you're a what?"
  "Is that fire? Why aren't we running?"
  "What a party!"
  "I'm sorry, I don't think I can do this anymore."
  (You may also request another line if you really want to use it, but you have to get my permission first)
• Your story must be PG13 or under; there can be swearing, violence, and some intimacy, but nothing descriptive (or you'll be disqualified)

I'll be keeping an updated list of everyone who joins. Tell me if you want to write or be a judge :)

This sounds really cool and I would love to join. When would the due date for the contest be or is that yet to be decided until more people join?

I'm going to wait a little while until more people join. Glad you're interested! If you know anybody else that might want to enter, please feel free to tell them about it! The more the merrier!

Deadline hasn't been set yet! I'm going to set it as soon as I feel like there's enough competitors and judges.
