"Well, anyway." Miran took another bite of apple. "Do any of you know where the cross country team meets? I want to join, but…" Miran shrugged. "I couldn't find out any information about… anything, really."

Gracie turned to face Miran. "Um… Have you tried the office? They have helpful information about the teams and clubs."
"I haven't, actually." Miran smiled at Gracie. "I'll do that when I get the time. Thanks, Gracie."
school
Gracie nodded. "Hm, no problem."

(I haven't forgotten about this, I will send my reply when I get home from work today)
school
(Ok, that's fine)
"Do any of you know if the cross country team is good?" Miran asked, opening his bag of chips and offering them to Gracie and Kai. "Want one?"
school
"Unfortunately, no I don't. And thanks for the offer, but no thanks," Gracie answered.
"Your loss. They're delicious." Miran pops one in his mouth and grins. "Kai? I promise you aren't stealing food from me." He grins.
(Sorry this was so late. I've started school, so I will answer when I can.)
school
(Oh that's fine)
Gracie chuckled. Suddenly, a loud noise started. Etta neighed and bucked, being very stressed. Gracie rushed to cover her ears, choosing to protect Etta over herself. "THE FIRE BELL!" she shouted back to Miran, walked out the nearest exit, where the noise was notably much quieter, so Gracie released her hands over Etta's ears. Etta shook her head in annoyance, and flicked her ears.
"Uh… is this the real thing?" Miran asked, following Gracie and Etta outside. "Or do they really like putting drills during lunch?" He looked nervously towards the school, scanning the sky for signs of smoke.

"It's probably one of those crazy science kids again, to be honest. We had a lot of these last year. They decided to 'experiment'. As you can see, that was a bad idea," she narrowed her eyes when she saw the two kids who had caused the fire come running out, laughing like crazy.
"Are they the cause?" Miran asked, following her gaze. "Don't they get in a lot of trouble? I mean, isn't there a teacher or something watching them to make sure they don't do that?" He frowned. "If not… how hasn't this school burned to the ground before?"
group
"There's always people on hand to deal with situations like this even before the fire brigade get here, you know, just in case they won't get here in time." Kai shrugged, shouting from the building, not in any hurry to make his way out of the canteen despite the teachers demanding he move. He knew for a fact that there was one person who wouldn't be able to move from the spot she was hiding in, no matter who was with her, no matter what was at stake, she wouldn't be able to move. "I'll join you in a moment!" he called, spinning on the balls of his feet and walking deeper into the building.
"Okay, Kai. Don't get caught on fire, please! I'd hate to never see that beautiful face again." Miran called after Kai. "I'm an idiot." He said to himself, cursing himself for saying that last line. Sure, he'd vowed to never live in fear again, but what if…
school
"Well, of course the staff are watching… they're just too quick. The evacuation is just for safety." Gracie explained, watching Kai going in. "Where are you going Kai?" she called just a beat too late.
group
A smile grew on Kai's lips upon hearing Miran's last remark. He shook his head and chuckled before breaking into a run. He couldn't take his usual route to the art classroom because it would have been blocked off to try and contain the fire, so the long way around it was. He could hear teachers calling for him to get out of the building, but under no circumstance was he going to leave her.
He made it to the classroom and flung the door opening. The fire alarm blared louder in that section of the school than any other, which was probably why he found her covering her ears. Under a desk at the far end of the room, a small girl cowered, tears falling down her face as she begged for the noise to stop. Kai made his way over to her, and gently tugged at her sleeves. She looked up in alarm, then smiled weakly and flung herself at him.
"Come on, lets get you out of here."
With the girl in his arms he ran through the halls back towards the exit where Miran and Gracie were. The girl was still weeping, her body shaking in terror as she clung onto Kai for dear life. "It's okay, we're outside now, nothing can hurt you."
school
Gracie stared in half-horror and half-amazement. "Kai, you know you could've seriously gotten hurt in there right? They've had to rebuild that one classroom before!" But, he was alright, but another girl, her hands, were clamped onto Kai like metal. "But who is that?" she asked. He had run off without warning, and come back with another human.
group
The girl glanced over Kai's shoulder, her glassy eyes strikingly similar to his own. She smiled as best as she could before answering the question for Kai. "I'm his sister, Mira."
Not many people knew he had a twin sister, since they were never in the same classes, however when someone found out, they instantly saw the similarities between their appearances. Truth be told, the reason Kai looked so 'feminine' was because he looked at lot more like his sister and their mother rather than their father.
"Kai!" Miran breathes a sigh of relief when he sees Kai come out of the building. "You have a sister named Mira?" Miran shakes his head. "Is she alright?"
group
"Yeah she's alright, aren't you little sis?" Kai ruffled his sister's hair, chuckling at the scowl he was rewarded with.
"Hey, you may only be 3 and a half minutes older, but maturity wise I am the older one." she huffed, pushing her brother away from her, wiping away the remains of the tears from her face. "Thank you for coming for me though."
"Anything for you." Kai shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Besides, dad would have killed me if I'd left you in there." he made his way over to Miran. "Are you alright?"
"The guy who just ran into a burning building is asking me if I'm alright?" Miran raises his eyebrows. "I'm fine, aside from being scared for you, my dear."
group
Mira's eyes widened, and suddenly a wicked grin formed on her lips. She got Kai in a headlock and started knuckling his head. "You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend! Aww that's cute!"
The next moment was a blur of movement, but Mira was suddenly on her back on the ground, a subtle 'oof' escaping her lips. "I should have expected that."
Kai stood above her, daggers in his eyes as he held out his hand towards her. "Don't use that word with me."
"I know, I know, I'm sorry." she chuckled, pulling herself up, dusting her clothes off. She turned to Miran and held out her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you by the way, you're the new kid right?"
"Uh… yeah." Miran grabbed her hand and shook it. "I'm Miran." He glanced at Kai with a slightly confused face but looked away quickly. "It's nice to meet you as well."
group
Kai turned away from the two of them, sighing. "I have a feeling we might be leaving school early."
Mira shook her head. "You mean you will be leaving school early. Last time this happened they managed to get it back under control before the end of the day."
As if on cue, the teachers announced that the building was safe to enter again, and in the distance they could see the two culprits being taken to the Principle, again.
A long groan came from Kai as Mira dragged him and Miran back into the building. "Go on, go to lessons. You only have one left."
"So, what's your last class?" Miran asked Kai, glancing over at the kids that started the fire. "I think I have Chemistry, which is going to be interesting since that's where the fire was." He grabbed the rest of his lunch and swept it into his backpack, then pulled out his schedule. "Yep. Interesting it will be."
group
"I don't know what lesson I have, I can't remember." Kai shrugged, glancing around aimlessly rather than looking at Miran. "I'm probably going to hop the fence and go home."
It was a bad idea, but the school had give up sending his dad emails about lack of attendance. They couldn't force him to stay after all.
school
Gracie laughed at Mira dragging both Kai and Miran into the building. But, she followed them into the building, still chuckling to herself.
"Really?" Miran pouted. "And leave us all alone?" He looked at Kai with a sad expression. "Please don't do that to me. Besides, you're already in the building. To go out would be more work." Miran gave Kai a crooked grin.
group
"Why do you have to be the voice of reason?" Kai rubbed the back of his head with a sigh. "Fine, I'll go to lesson if it gets you off my case."
He hadn't been revising and he knew for a fact that there was going to be a test — looks like he was back to winging the languages yet again. It had somehow worked for him the previous year but he wasn't going get away with it forever. "I have French, so if I come back with a twirly mustache and a beret then I'm blaming you."
