He did it again

(She's been through worse, she just doesn't have much of an immune system buildup)
Nyx let him spoonfeed her. She felt very small and childlike and delicate, like she was back in the lab with Anne.

"Is this awkward?" He asked, after she finished

"I feel like a child again," she murmured.

"Is that a bad thing?"

She smiled. It was weak, but it was a smile. "Not at all."

He kissed her sweaty forehead.
"I'm glad. I love you."

"Love y-" She coughed again.

"I know…" He put the ice pack on her forehead, and laid with her

Nyx curled up against him, careful not to let the ice pack fall off.

He made sure she was good. He got out his knitting needles and started to knit

Nyx laughed, but it quickly turned into a hacking cough.

"What's funny?"

"You're knitting."

"So?" He asked, confused

"I just think it's cute."

"Thanks… I may make you something…"

"Like what?"

"A beanie."

She nodded her approval.

"You want that? In what color?"

"I don't know." She snuggled under the covers and watched him through bleary, half-closed eyes.

"Go to sleep…"

So she did.

He finished making a beanie for her in the color of her eyes

She twitched in her sleep and murmured something.

He put it on her head

She twitched again, murmuring something unintelligible.

He fell asleep with her

Nyx eventually woke up to discover that not only was there a beanie on her head, one of his arms was wrapped tightly around her stomach.
