“I don’t know,” Tristan frowned

She groaned and fell back in the puddle of water, hissing at the contact and jolting back up. "Who the hell owns this place? And where are we? All I remember is going back to good old NYC to visit my mom. And apparently little sister and brother, because I now have those, I guess?"
Tristan jumped at her angered voice and frowned
group
Tessa glanced sheepishly at Tristan. "Sorry. I don't like labs. Bad… bad memories. Lots. I'm on edge."
Lacie gave her a sad smile. “It’s gonna be ok,”
group
"That's what they said last time…" she muttered to herself, getting up and pacing the room as far away from the water as she could.
“I’m still confused by what cat…”
"I think Anna named him Max." Lacie pondered
group
Tessa pondered out loud as she paced. "A robot cat named Max set rules and explicitly said the people who brought us here are bad. But if we try to leave, we're doomed." She huffed an unamused laugh. "How fun."
group
"I wouldn't jump to any conclusions," Tess grumbled, referring to herself, well aware of how not nice she was.
"I trust you," Lacie smiled trying to make her feel better
group
Tessa shrugged, not convinced. "I suppose we have no choice but to trust each other. We are stuck here after all." She tilted her head, listening through the vent she stopped under for any tell-tale sounds of torture she herself had been subjected to in many similar places.
“Oh”
group
Tess heaved a sigh of relief, thankful for no screams. She didn't smell any blood either. "Well, whoever is keeping us here can't be too bad…"
group
She shook her head. "Nothing. Just thinking out loud." She resumed her pacing.
Lacie began muttering and pacing back and forth
group
Tessa sighed and leaned against a wall with her arms crossed behind her head. Her t-shirt lifted up slightly from the movement, showing a sliver of her stomach and a hint of a single prominent scar running down the her middle.
group
Tess startled at the question, quickly pulling down her shirt. "Nothing…"
Lacie glanced over gave a small sigh and continued her rambling
group
Tess gritted her teeth, annoyed by the muttering and tense from resurfacing memories. "What are you rambling about!?"
Lacie jumped a little.
"I-I'm sorry." she said sheepishly.
group
Tessa rubbed at her temples and slid down the wall. "No. I'm sorry. You're fine." Her eyes darted around the room. I could easily leave this place, but I might put the others in danger if I do. Guess I'll just have to suck it up. Out loud, she asked, "Do we at least know what world we're in? Earth I hope."
Lacie shook her head. "I wish I knew, I can't remember anything," she began distorted her face trying to remember.
group
"Eh." She felt behind her ears and groaned, throwing her head against the wall and dropping her hands. "You gotta be kidding me! They took my hearing aids?!"
