"I don't know." It felt like five minutes, but it could have been an hour, maybe more.

"Okay then." He kissed her gently on the lips

Nyx's cheeks went faintly pink.

He kept kissing her

Nyx closed her eyes and tentatively kissed back.

He started to make out with her

Nyx curled up against his chest and let him.

He continued to do it some more

After a while, Nyx realised she was hungry and reluctantly drew back. There were two bright pink spots on her cheeks.
"We should probably get something to eat," she whispered.

"Sure…" He said, getting up

Nyx followed him.

He started to make something to eat…

Nyx watched.

He finished cooking. He dished out the food

Nyx ate. She hadn't said a single word since they'd come downstairs.

"Anything wrong?" He asked, concerned

She shook her head and placed another forkful of pancakes into her mouth.

"Are you sure?"

She nodded.

"Okay then." He finished eating

A silent Nyx got up and put her plate in the sink.

He did the same.

Nyx stood awkwardly next to him at the sink. She was still in her nightgown, hair messy from sleep.

He did the dishes by hand

Nyx leaned against him.

"Yes?" He asked

She said nothing.

"What do you need?"

"Nothing," she murmured.

"Okay then…" He said, still washing dishes
