He held her.

Nyx eventually stopped crying and kissed him softly. She tasted like salt and something sweet - milk.

"You taste milky." He stated.

"I know." She smiled ruefully. "The scientists would bottle it sometimes, you know."
She swiped a finger across her cheek and put it in her mouth.

"You know anyone named Perry the Platypus?" He joked, trying to lighten the mood

She scowled at him and stuck another milk-covered finger in his mouth to shut him up.

"What? I was just messing!"

"I'm not a cartoon creature. And last I checked, I don't have green skin."

"What sound does Perry make?"

She stared sullenly at him and stuck another finger into his mouth.

He mimicked Perry flawlessly

"This is why I never tell anyone I'm part platypus." She poked him in the chest.

He kissed her.
"My part Platypus." He made the sound again

"You know, if you think it's cute or something that I'm part platypus, you'd better not waste that milk before it evaporates." She tilted her head, smirking. Her forehead, neck, and arms were still coated in a thin layer of sheen.

"What do you mean?"

"What do you mean, what do I mean?" She kissed his cheek. "Like that."

"Oh…" He gave her a hickey

Nyx giggled.

And another one

Nyx curled her fingers in his hair and laughed softly.

He kissed her milky lips

She sighed and collapsed against him. Through the window, she could see that it was still snowing, and she had no idea what time it was.

"It's about…" he checked the clock. "It's 4:19 am."

"We didn't get to stay up all night," Nyx murmured.

"We can, if you want?"

She frowned at him. "We already went to sleep. That ruins it."

"Damn it…" He said

She prodded him in the chest. "We can try tomorrow night. Or tonight, I guess."

He made the Perry the Platypus noise, just to mess with Nyx

"Stop iiiiit," she said, shoving his chest.
