And then the next morning

He was asleep in his room.

Nyx woke up, yawned, rubbed her eyes, and then the memory of her dream hit her like a tidal wave.
She'd dreamed of Seven last night. Something important. Something she needed to know.
Nyx grasped for the memory, but it was like clutching at a rungless ladder.
Shaking the cobwebs out of her head, she went downstairs, a wish, a thought, forming in her mind.
Later. She'd ask him later. When her room was finished.

He woke up.
"Ready?" He said, fully dressed in a nice suit

"Yeah." She was still in her nightgown. "Would you mind making breakfast while I go change?"

"Sure." He did so. Her casual outfit was by her bed.

She put it on and came back downstairs. "So, IKEA today, then?"

"yep!" He made toast.
"Let's go." He said, as the bread popped out of the toaster

They ate the toast and then went.

"Pick out what you want…" He said while they were at IKEA

And she did. The majority of it was cosy and big.

They came back to the house, and Nyx spent a good hour and a half arranging and rearranging the various furniture and decorations. She'd bought some for her room too. At last, proud of her handiwork, she collapsed onto the beanbag with a fluffy blanket.

"You like?" He asked

"Very much." She was very proud of her handiwork. The room now looked like it had been professionally decorated. Her back ached from moving all of it around, though, and she put a hand to it, wincing slightly. "I think I might have hurt my back, though. Or I'm just sore."

Can I massage it?"

"Sure." She sat up.

He began to massage it real good and deep

Nyx winced. "You do it harder than Anne did."

Is that a good thing?"

"Do you want the honest answer or the nice one?"

The honest answer."

"The honest answer is that I don't know." It hurts, but it feels good because it's you.

"Should I keep doing it?"

"Yeah."

He kept doing it

Nyx let out a soft murmur of pleasure and closed her eyes.

He kept doing, making sure not to hurt her.

Nyx smiled softly and leaned her head against his shoulder.

this feels… nice he thought, while doing it
