Speaking of sweet, I think those tropical girls were really into me. Hey– were they into me?

I actually do something like this when I have writer's block! I "bring" the characters into my room to "talk" so I can figure things out.
Anyway, here's a snippet of what usually goes down.

“Uh, so…” I grimaced, “Turns out Akello’s been denied her rematch.”
“Yet we have not been denied pain.” Gemma said scathingly as she cradled her broken arm, “What’s the big idea, Arrow?!”
“I’m sorry!” I exclaimed, burying my face in my hands, “It’s for the plot, I swear!”
“So this is for the plot?” Flash said, weakly fluttering his twisted wing. He lifted his mangled foot for emphasis. I nodded feebly.
“Was this for the plot too?” Lee demanded, gesturing to his casted leg. I gave a tiny nod again.
“Yes.” I squeaked.
“I get you needed a climax, but throwing me off a cliff is a bit extreme!” Gemma exploded. I whimpered.
“The plot, though…”
“How come Ray is fine?” Lee said, throwing a hand out at the quiet pegasus, “He hasn’t sustained any major injuries! Why is that, huh?!”
“Sorry…” I mumbled, “It’s for the plot…”
“Darn you and your sucky plot!” Gemma shouted, and she threw a pillow at me.
