One of your characters finds themself face-to-face with you, the creator of their world. What questions do they ask you?

Alec: Why am I even here?
Me: You were supposed to be Han Solo, then you were supposed to be me, then you ended up exactly like my actual REAL-LIFE boyfriend so I don't write about you anymore.

Probably something along the lines of, "WTF?! Seriously?!"

My characters: "So, why do the dragons overpower us one million to one?"

Me: Lol so I was watching my brother play the lord of the rings shadow of mordor game and he was taking errrbody out with a dragon and I was like dragons should never be good or weak so… here we are

Well, Eryn would be absolutely livid if she ever found out she was my creation and therefore under my complete control and that every action she ever thought that she made was actually me making her do those actions (does that make sense?), as she loves her freedom and choice. Then she would pretend to unruffled and thank me nonchalantly for creating Lukas, her beloved son.

Anastasiya would stab me, Rowen would be skeptical, Amity would just smile innocently while planning a million different ways to take control of me and write her the perfect ending, and my favorite narcissist would just just scoff and say, "You? Hmmph, as if someone like YOU could have created someone like ME."

Nikolai: Yeah. What the fuck did I ever do to you?

Me: yeah, I didn't really… think that through…

"Why did you kill me off in the first book?"
"Because you're my favourite character."
"…that makes no sense."
"Yes it does."
"How?"
"I don't know it just does."
"It really doesn't."
"Shut up."
"But—"
"I MADE YOU BOY."
"Fair enough."

In all honesty Nikolai would probably punch me in the face before complaining about how i killed his sister. and Felix would be salty over the fact that I made his bf fall into a murderous rage and later be blamed for everything bad that happened during the story.

"Why do you do this to me?" The man in front of me inquired. I glanced up from my artwork, cocking an eyebrow. I let out a confused grunt, eyeing the somewhat familiar man in front of me. "Why do you do this to me?" He inquired again, taking a slow step towards me. "What do you mean?" I questioned, turning the words over in my mind before letting them slip from my tongue. "You have tortured me, beat me down to the smallest I could be… I could have been greatness, yet I'm just… A broken shell of a man." He replied, a look of defeat on his face. "Who are you?" I stood up, a frown on my face. "Don't you recognize me, Orion?" He placed his hands on his chest as he spoke. "I'm Allester!"
"Allester..?" I spoke slowly. "Allester Doran Eklof…" He nodded vigorously. "Yes, and I came to ask you a question. Why do you do this to me?" He asked once again. My shoulders sagged at the question. I knew what he meant. He was one of my more dark characters, his life being one full of hardships and loss. What started out as a fun project with a unique character became a slippery slope of tragedy after tragedy, chipping away at his sanity before he broke and became no more human than the dirt we walked upon. What could have been a fun, loving character became a depressed, power hungry man with no love and compassion left in his heart.
"Because." I answered. "Simply because."

"What. The. Hell. Did you do to my friend."

"Why." cue sobbing, screaming, trying to murder me as I did to their whole family

Camie: what the heck were you thinking???? You almost killed me more times than I can count. And wait, why do you look like me..?
Me: Honestly I have no clue. For the record though, I don't look like you, you look like me.

Well, um they're aware that I made them especially Megan.

Hunter: "WHY DID YOU KILL HER!!???? I-I LOVED HER! And also why am I ginger?"
Me: She was hard to write and annoying. Value your moments with her. One day there may be fanfics. About the ginger thing, you're slightly based off of my crush.

Bryan: "Please, bring back my sister. Hunter needs her, I need her."
Me: I know, i'm sorry. It had to be done.

James: "Okay, why the ** did you kill my whole family??? You knew it'd break me! Why?!?"
Me: I wanted to break you.

Sycore: Takes out saw
Me: Nope.

Megan: "Yo homie! Did Sycore and the power of the Amulets escape into other worlds?"
Me: No, copyright claims stopped him.

Tom: Can I please have my eye back?
Me: No, I've gotten quite a few compliments about that. You are very unique and your my favorite

Diami (Sarah): "Can I see my brother and not get killed?"
Me: Last time I saw him he was quite upset, so I don't think seeing him is a good idea.

Ember: Why do you look like me, was i based off of you? And also it was a great plot despite the fact that I died."
Me: Correction, you're the prettier version of me. And also thank you, it took years for it to have a real plot!

Hicia: Why does my boyfriend have anger issues?"
Me: It makes him a better villain, don't worry after he was freed in book three his anger disappeared.

Audra: Why did you make me think James was dead! You broke my heart!"
Me: It was a plot twist. Be grateful you have him now.

Birane: "Hi."
Me: Hi

Arissa: "So you are my creator?"
Me: "Well, technically yes, but officially Atalia made you."
Arissa: "But Atalia wasn't the one who gave my family the mysterious items. You did."
Me: "…Well, that is true, but the items each have their purposes. Take the needle for example; It can make the weakest fabric into the finest fabric."
Arissa: "And it was given to me by my dead mother. Why did she die?"
Me: "I'm almost at a loss. That was mainly for you to learn the value of those close."
Arissa: "And this ring? Why give it to me?"
Me: "Why not? While it may have been a stupid idea when I first thought of it, I have built upon it and gave you a reason to have it. With it, you can learn what you want to. But that's not what you're asking, are you?"
Arissa: "Not exactly, but I understand what you mean. Now, what about my father. Why did you make him?"
Me: "To show you the difference between being useful, and being yourself. You choose to be yourself, but your father? I built him to be useful. And you should see it with how I made him a 'Successful' businessman rather than one that's 'Average'.
Arissa was almost in tears with how blunt I answered that last question.
Arissa: "So I'm just another pawn like my father?"
Me: "Yes and no. I write you in a completely different way from the others. That shows that you're not a pawn. But at the same time, you are because I made you. But that is the only way you are a pawn."
Arissa now had tears falling.
Arissa: "How should I feel about that?"
Me: "That's up to you. Be a pawn and follow the script, or you can be the main character. I don't want to force you too much as that puts a strain on me, but if do choose to continue to be yourself, then the story will move smoothly."
Arissa: "…"
Me: "If you cooperate, then you will be treated well. If you don't, then expect much harm."
I walk away and close the book. I turn around to watch her fade.
That was interesting. Should I push her along, or would guiding her be better? This is a question I ask myself whenever I think of how I should continue the story.

"So why do I lose everyone I love?"
"Because so did I. I need to express that through torturing a fictional character."
"…Well that's depressing."
"I know."

"Why is everything in our world so terrible?"
"I thought that it would be interesting to watch."
"MILLIONS of people are dead!"
"As I said, interesting."

I think the main question Jena from Future would ask me is: "Why?"

And I guess my response would be: "Because it was interesting."

That sounds so horrible, but it's true- everything in my book was written to be interesting, to entertain, to bring characters to life, and to drive a certain plot. I am horrible to my characters, but… well, actually I don't have much of a reason… I should probably stop beating them down so often.

Them:You did this to me? You put me through hell?
Me:Uhhhh…(runs like hell)

C: Who am I based off of??
Me: Myself. Everything that has ever happened to you has happened to me.
C: Oh god. Thats why I'm so depressed.

"Why? Just why?"

"Because I can and because I hate myself."

Elise: So, do I get to kiss Felicity or nah?
Me: Yeah you do
Elise: * high-fives me*

"Because life's a bitch, kid, and I intend to reflect that.
