Catori: girl who can talks to ghost moves to town, starts up thing with other local girl, goes minorly crazy when she's kidnapped and enlists ghost friends and living friends to hunt her down, maybe sorta falls in love with boy, finds girl, and both realize they're into other people at prom
Cisco: local son of con man who disappeared finds himself completely enraptured with new girl. accidentally gets caught up in local kidnapping after new girl has a break down on his porch. admits he found his dad, doesnt want to see his dad. helps save day, loses a finger, and admits feelings at prom. goes to see dad and punches him in nose
Garrett: dead boy makes friend finally, keeps secrets he shouldn't. witnesses kidnapping. manages to get friend to porch of boy who can comfort her while she breaks down. finally tells secrets way too late but manages to make the information useful. tries really hard to help save day and ends up causing con man's son to lose finger and fulfill unintentional prophecy of psychic boy. moves on without saying goodbye
Kasper: soft boy is baby. gets bullied, makes new friends. misses kidnapped girl but falls for plant boy. stands up for himself, tells prophecy or two, cries a lot when plant boy is in hospital, and saves day. finally kisses plant boy at prom
Jo: is gay plant boy. big Sad all time. really likes soft psychic boy but is disaster gay and afraid of love. finds big info and ends up in hospital after witch attack. hears soft boy say ily and wakes himself up by fucking crying.

Everette: local popular girl and teen radio host is gay for new girl. gets kidnapped by witch. causes so much trouble for witch she's almost killed like three times. realizes she is not, in fact, gay for new girl but for cohost. is rescued and helps stop witch. professes love dramatically on air at live event for prom. is kissed.
Aella: local not popular radio cohost is very gay but very confused. hates host but also likes host. big sad after host is kidnapped. helps find her and also big cry on air. misses rescuing but cries again when host professes love to her at prom.

So I have only scattered scenes and characters, and I plan to just kind of write novellas/short stories, so there's not one defined "arc", but … here's some:

Foxglove: This bisexual player (but in a Victorian way) detective lives in the lap of luxury. Realizes that important people are being killed. Teams up with a femme fatale. Has an "oh no he's hot" moment. Stews in sexual frustration and looks smoking hot in smoking jackets while taking down a crime ring and impersonator in all the most dramatic ways possible.
Adeline: Narrates the story. Mood throughout the entire thing is "I'm too asexual for this crap, but you're my friend, so…." Teams up with bisexual player detective. Politely ignores sexual tension. Uses her own skillset whenever Foxglove gets distracted. In the process, she bargains herself onto a no-kill list.
Marofiro: Local mafia boss suppresses his gayness to terrorize the world. Only kills a few people. (Not his style, usually.) Gets super possessive of his identity. Due to most unfortunate circumstances, lives with archnemesis for a while.
Marodia: Enjoys watching the sexual tension with metaphysical popcorn. Loves their grandchild the mafia boss, and helps him out sometimes–but often in ways that make him wish they didn't get so much of a kick out of interfering. Is essentially that grandmother who says loudly, "THAT's your crush?" + tries to matchmake but they know what they're doing.

Mr 'Retired' Villain Man realises he can't hide his rather horrible 'mistakes' forever and goes back tp being a villain because he learned absolutely nothing!

Bee: Street mutt just minding her own business gets attacked by coalition of pet dogs, starts her own gang and engages in guerilla warfare against pets and their humans

Krista: dies, becomes a monster, gets a girlfriend. in that order.
Eden: dies, saves the world. in that order
Nadia: dies after killing 67 people, is redeemed
Valerie: dies, is a bitch, not redeemed.
