Rantaro smiled softly as he held Kaito close to him. He had yet to confess his feelings, but he truly did love Kaito. "I hope this makes you feel comfortable."
“ it does.. your really warm “
Rantaro gave Kaito another soft smile. "Glad that I can help you feel more comfortable. As long as you get some rest, I'm sure that you'll be okay."
Kaito nodded and slowly fell asleep
Rantaro smiled softly as Kaito fell asleep. He was glad that the other was sleeping, knowing that he needed to. He continued to hold the other close to him, hoping that he could make Kaito as comfortable as possible. As long as Kaito slept well, Rantaro knew that he'd likely get better.
As Kaito slept, Rantaro would occasionally whisper softly to him. It was usually just comforting things to make sure that the other was truly sleeping well. Rantaro would smile softly at the other as well, just relieved to see the other getting some more rest.
Kaito cuddled closer, nestling into the others chest
Rantaro didn't mind. He kept holding Kaito close to him to confirm that he'd be okay. At the moment, Rantaro still thought that Kaito would be okay, though he was secretly rather worried about his friend.
“ I love you..” kaito mumbled
Rantaro was surprised by the comment, but he felt the same. "I love you too, Kaito," he whispered softly. "I really do."
Kaito was still partiallyy asleep
Rantaro didn't mind, continuing to hold Kaito close.
Kaito smiled in his sleep
Rantaro smiled back at Kaito. "Cutie. You're adorable."
Kaito opened his eyes slightly “ do you mean that?”
Rantaro nodded. "I meant everything that I said. I really do love you."
Kaito flushed and giggled happily
Rantaro smiled at Kaito. "Awww, you're so adorable," he told the other. "I love you so much."
“ I love you too..”
Rantaro smiled at the response. "I'm glad. I've felt this way for a while."
“ me too..”
"Well, wanna make it official? I can call you my boyfriend if so."
“I'd like that..”
"Yay!" Rantaro smiled softly. "You are now my boyfriend!"
“ and you are mine!”
"Yep. I love you so much, Kaito!"

(Well, you sorta foreshadowed that Kaito would get worse, so there's a plot point right there! Then I could maybe up the drama with some Rantaro angst because he's actually really worried? We can bring in another character to comfort him if we add this)
