"ALWAYS!" She sighed and sat on the floor. "I need…a breather. Because we gotta crawl through the vents and it's hotter than you up there." She sighed and got up. "Wonder if they have a water cooler…" And walked off down the hallway, like she didn't just high key flirt with you.
ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE! If you want it
"Yeah- wait, what?" Teon blinked in surprise. "Did you just say I'm hot? Finally, someone notices." He hurried after her.
She ignored him as she gulped down water. "I really don't want to crawl around the vents…let's not actually. Let's just go around and murder anyone who gets in our way."
"Uhh… okay. I'm going to let that comment go for a second, but still…" Teon narrowed his eyes at her, then looked back at the room where they'd just come from. "Let's just try to keep them from setting off an alarm or something. Everyone must go." He grinned at Evelyn.
She grinned. "Ya know,I'm starting to like you. Just a bit. But don't let that get to your head…ooh maybe we can find some explosives!"
"You know, that almost directly contradicts my point about 'setting off an alarm'. That'd be us setting off an alarm. Basically, yelling 'we're here, come kill us!'" Teon put both his hands on his hips and grinned. "Let's save the explosives for when we leave this place, yeah?"
"Yes, DAAAAD." She rolled her eyes. "Sheesh. You act like I haven't gotten to the explosives before the practice mission ended and had to kill everyone by myself because my whole team or partner had totally given up on me. Sheesh. What kind of idiot do you take me for?" She rolled her eyes and kept walking, handing you the nap. "Here quit being a jerk and plan out where we need to go. Throne room is probably the largest room. I have a few other maps as well."
"And do we want to go to the throne room, or are you telling me because we want to avoid it?" Teon asked, squinting at the map. "Because if we want to get there, we'll have to just keep walking down this hallway, all the way to the heavily guarded doors. If we don't want to go there, then…" He looked up from the map and gestured at a doorway further down the hall. "That doorway leads to a hallway which leads to someplace called "administrative offices. Also, it goes near that door we wanted to go into but couldn't because there're so many guards."
"We gotta find like offices or something. Some place with lots of files, we gotta get info in EVIL plans. So if we challenge the villian, maybe they'll go on a rant about ruling the world, destroying all of new york city in the process, ya know. Normal stuff." She shrugs.
"So, throne room?" Teon asked. "'Cause, I mean, we could either look through a bunch of boring text, or we could just ask the villain, as you said." He shrugged. "Anyways. Why don't you lead the way?" He handed her back the map. "Seasoned villain-lair infiltrator."
"Hey this is my first OFFICIAL none illegal villian lair break in." She said with an eye roll. "To the throne room!" She cried triumphantly.
"Yes, well, the illegal and/or unofficial ones probably count as much as the legal and/or official ones, so…" Teon shrugged. "You shall remain as the seasoned villain-lair infiltrator."
"Oh fuck off!" She said, huffing as she sighed and stomped off. "And they aren't illegal, just knowing how to get past all of you're mothers' booby traps while drunk. And high. Silently. Without alerting any of your 15 other siblings." She sighed.
"Whoa, whoa, hold on." Teon jogged to catch up with her. "Your mothers' booby traps? Fifteen siblings?" He laughed. "Oh, wow, that is a lot of people. Why, exactly, were you sneaking?"
"Parties. Sex. Ya know usual stuff that every teen sneaks out for. Sometimes murder. But not usually." She shrugged. "Lesbian moms, real fun." She shrugged.
"Oh, right. Of course." Teon shook his head. " Just… Nevermind." He stayed silent for a few minutes, then turned to Evelyn. "Fifteen siblings? I just… I mean, why?"
"Ah momma Crys. You'll understand once you meet her." She said with a shrug, and walked through the doors. "Ya know, I imagined the throne room to be on a much higher floor…oh hey yay another elevator." She groaned and went over to it. "Thank the gods I nabbed this ID card." She walked over, inserted it into the slot, and got in the elevator as the doors opened.
"I'm meeting 'momma Crys'?" Teon asked, stepping into the elevator. "When and why." He glanced at the elevator display and grimiced. "And Evelyn, wouldn't it be… sneakier to take the stairs?"
"Yeah but stairs are only for sliding down the railing. We'll just stab the camera. Also no,but you probably will. Or have." She shrugs. "Only one of the greatest heroes ever."
"Well, I don't really interact with heroes," Teon said. "Probably never will, also." He paused, then grinned. "Well, maybe I will now if I get this mission completed." Teon grinned.
"Oh you will alright." She rolled her eyes, stabbed the camera, and sat on the floor of the elevator, and handed you a folder. "All the maps are in there."
"Am I the map man?" Teon asked, accepting the folder and looking through it. "I guess I am." He pulled out the right map and examined it. "Well, the throne room is down this hallway," he said, tracing the route, "then down this one at the end of the hall." Teon shook his head. "This place has so many twist corridors."
"Yes. Now figure it out, brains. I'll be the muscle." She sighed as she kept walking, singing a bit under her breath. "Man I can't wait to work on my new song when I get back to base."
"Well, just keep walking. I'll tell you when to turn," Teon said, squinting at the map. "Honestly, you'd think there would be more guards or something this close to the throne room. But hey," he shrugged, "I also have no idea what an evil lair is supposed to look like."
"Oh there will be. We just aren't close." There was the thudding of boots and she pulled you into a doorway. "Please don't pass through here…" She whispered, and then a squad of four passed by us, and one grabbed her arm and tugged her along. "Damn it."
"Oh, great. It's like the calm before the storm." Teon sighed and folded up the map, sticking it into his pocket. "Oh, there they are." He grimaces. "They'd better go the other way." Teon watched in horror as one of them grabbed Evelyn's arm and pull her after them. "Stars…"
"Let me go you bastard!" The man looked down at her. "Your MOTHER wants to see you." He growled out, as Evelyn was already taking out a knife. "Wait-what? My mom? No. No you're mistaken. Now let me GO!" She then stabbed his hand and tried to run back, when both of her hands were grabbed and handcuffed behind her back. "Ooh kinky~" She purred out, and was ignored. "Fuck. Fine then." She then tapped her feet together 3 times, and a knife stuck out of the head and the heel of the shoes, and she tried to kick and slice her way out. She ended up being carried by her feet and arms, and stretched out, cussing away down the hall.
"Well, that's great," Teon remarked, watching Evelyn being taking down the hallway. "I think I should do something." He pulled three knives from their sheathes and launched them at three of the men. Each knife streaked towards the men, each one somehow sinking into their hearts. The three drop to the ground, leaving only one guard holding onto Evelyn. "Hey, you!" Teon yelled, holding out a hand. One of the knives pulled itself free and flew back into his hand. "Drop her, or this knife is going to find itself in your head!" The remaining man looked at him and gave Teon a wicked smile. Three more sets of footsteps sound from behind him. Teon turned to see three more men marching towards him, guns in hand. "Shit." He turned back to Evelyn. "You got him, yeah?"
The guy was dead and she stood there, sighing. "Yeah. Can you pick locks?" She asked, nodding behind her to the handcuffs. "This is super uncomfortable and they are sort of starting to hurt. I think he pinched my skin with them."
"Yeah. Hold on." Teon reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of lockpicks. "Okay, here we go." He knelt down behind Evelyn and picked the lock as quickly as he could. "There." He pulled off the handcuffs. "You good?"
